Oceanfront golf north of Lisbon
Everything about Praia d'El Rey was a pleasant surprise - including the very nice Marriot with a stunning beach below some cliffs and the dunesy golf along the ocean.
Praia starts out in the housing development with some solid holes. Water is a worry on the par-5 second and par-3 third. On the back nine, things open up with a more linksy approach. The trees and houses take a step back, replaced with sweeping views of the water for an extended run from holes 12-15. Wind will play a big factor in how you score.
