Another Alberta Hidden Gem

This was our first visit to the Vergreville Golf Club. This little nine-holer was a pleasant surprise as we were not expecting much of a golf course. It is pretty much a flat course with minimal elevation changes, it has a few bunkers and there is a few holes that require a carry over a stream that meanders through the course. We played the course in mid-September so the condition was probably not at its best. The fairways, tee boxes and greens were on the shaggy side but still very much playable. The greens were much larger than we were excepting, and the slow pace made it difficult to judge long putts. It is a pretty golf course with some really nice holes. We did not have time to check out the amenities nor the food. The staff were pleasant.
