Vermilion Golf and Country Club

Conveniently located close to town at the intersection of Highways 16 and 41, the Vermilion G&CC is easily accessible to locals as well as travelers. This course has been providing the Vermilion and area residents a venue to ply their skills since 1947.

A fairly well stocked pro shop and registration area adjoins the on site restaurant. Practice facilities include a full length driving range and two smaller practice greens. There is an assorted collection of older Club Car and EZ-Go golf carts available for rent for those that choose not to walk the fairways that vary from flat to hilly. Staff are welcoming and helpful.

This parkland course is a challenging par 35 layout stretching out to 2935 yards. It offers a relaxed but engaging 9 holes for skilled and beginning golfers alike. Fairways turn both ways and routing feels seamless with pleasing elevation changes and a wide variety of different length par 3s, 4s and 5s. Greens are of varying size and difficulty and played fair. Speeds of the greens were consistent throughout and if you can decipher the subtle breaks, good scoring can be had.

The hazards are few and consist of two water hazards and the six bunkers on the course are to be found greenside.

The course is amicable and provides for an enjoyable and eventful game, where good shots are rewarded and punished for bad. The restaurant is spacious and offers a varied menu.
