Not what it used to be

Sad to see a course with good bones being neglected. At least they are paying attention to the important things: Tees, greens, bunkers and approach areas are all still very good. The rest of the course has been trashed and is in need of a complete re-do. Very little in the way of useable fairway. Rough is abysmal. Not sure that running a ski hill over some of the holes in the winter is a good idea. Seems to have created a lot of hardpan that cannot grow grass or fescue.

I played this course a few times in the 70s and 80s and it is now a shadow of what it once was.

Great Feeling

Something about playing this course I love. It has a certain feeling. Not the best manicured course, but it's overlooked when playing this course.

Highly recommend trying it out if your in the area.
