Birchbank Golf Course
Surrounded by the Selkirk and Monashee Mountains, Birchbank Golf Course (previously known as Rossland Trail Country Club) in Genelle offers stunning views from nearly every hole. The course itself winds across rolling hills blanketed with mature trees. The course incorporates all the hallmarks of traditional British Columbia golf. Since opening in 1962, the golf course has undergone major changes including the renovation of several greens, hole relocations, and the addition of many new bunkers. The renovations have helped to build Birchbank's reputation as one of the finest golf courses in the Kootenays. The elevation changes throughout the course, which range from subtle to dramatic, helped to determine the strategic placement of the bunkers. A stream meanders through the course as well, coming into play on a few holes. There is also a driving range available at Birchbank G.C.

Golfing happiness at Birchbank
If you are getting beat up by the Kootenay courses, try this one. It is delightful. You can almost always find your ball, and usually have a chip shot back to the fairway. There are mature beautiful trees for shade. There are very good practice places as well.
Great course and friendly staff
I have golfed this course many times over the past year. The course layout is good and it is always in good condition. It is not the most challenging course in the area but has an intermediate degree of difficulty. The best thing about this course is the staff. They are always friendly and accommodating. The only negative comment is the bar/ restaurant is often closed early or booked for special events.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. The entire course is in excellent condition the greens are in top shape! We will be frequenting this course in the future.

The temp was 38 celsius so the pace of play was great-not many on the course. The course was in good shape and the refreshment cart came around twice on the front nine. For what I paid you can't beat it!
This course has awesome views and a nice variety of holes
Great food , the canadian burger is awesome,
Well kept greens ,nice variety of fairways and approach shots
Awesome golf value!
Used the phone app to book a Hot Deal, and boy was it a great deal! Course was in great shape and we even ran into some wild turkeys on the course.
Course is in excellent condition and pace of play for a Sunday was outstanding, completed our round in three and a half hours.
birchbank golf course
I have played this course many times in the past. Early in the year the course wasn't in the best condition Fairways and greens were slow. This last time out the course was in much better condition. T he front was changed and I enjoyed the layout more.
Paired up with 2 really nice guys. Weather was perfect, and course was in great shape. Greens were fairly fast and consistent. Really enjoyed the day.
Great course that opens early in the season. Course is really scenic and in great condition.
Great way to start season
The course was in great shape, especially the greens.
The staff was awesome and i have nothing but good things to say about my day golfing. We stopped in at the restaurant after our round, and the staff and food and drink were great.
Birchbank is a course that you want to play regularly. It is challenging, has gorgeous views and the staff is very friendly. The course is kept in great shape.
You also see lots of wildlife while you golf especially the wild turkeys!
I will be back next year!
Lovely setting along the river
The cost was amazingly low and had planned to golf that course but didn't remember the back nine had hills so in 38 degree weather it was more of a challenge that i had expected. My husband fared better but we did do it again and the second time took a cart which worked out great.
We ate there both times and the food was excellent with charming staff.
