Real best kept secret is how poor the fairways are.
Contrary to their radio ads stating they are Manitoba’s best kept secret, the real secret is how poor in condition their fairways are. Dry hard pan with very little grass. Greens were good but there are numerous courses with similar condition greens and way better fairways. To ad insult to injury the Marshall told us to conform to a 90 degree rule which made zero sense since there was not much grass to damage and the ground was so hard it could support a cement truck.
I had not been out here for a few years, this place has upped their game, the greens last year were excellent and are some of the best I have played on in 2020. They punched them early and they responded well. You really have to watch when you play, under Covid they don't let you play through and we have had some painful 9's, hopefully they get rid of that rule, its the only track I have seen this on and makes no sense. Great VALUE otherwise, easily walkable, you won't be disappointed!
