Kenora Golf and Country Club

The course is in really nice shape. Exterior work on the clubhouse and extensive parking lot and cart path paving have really brought the overall golf experience to a new level. The course is varied enough to give experienced golfers a challenge but still playable for the higher handicap golfer……it’s never boring!!

Played with my wife, got behind a group of four that was very slow and wouldn't let us play. Ahead of them was a group of six that were largely outpacing them. I don't understand why the marshal would allow not only a group of six, but not do anything to keep up pace of play. Second time this summer we've encountered a group of six openly playing together with nothing done. Will not be returning and will all future golfing in Kenora area will be exclusively at beauty bay.

Challenging course that has picturesque views, unique hole designs, and well maintained. At times you wondered if your golf cart to navigate the terrain, which added another layer of fun!

Very hilly course making for challenging stances on some shots and the necessity to use a cart. Picturesque, beautiful views. Public/private course with oftentimes snobby members. Greens suffered some winter damage that has still to recover.

Way too slow. You need a ranger. Would not return.

Pace of play is poor. Very congested. Had a club member almost hit me with their approach to a green. Not much I could do as my group had 2 groups in front of us and no one was letting us through.

At one point the marshall struck up a conversation for approximately 15 minutes with a group while we were waiting to tee off. The group was larger and slower than ours as they were using pullcarts, while we had a power cart. Had they let us through or the marshall was instructing them on pace of play I would understand, but they were just having a conversation.

Overall, it was good but we felt like we were being watched by the marshal. He followed us on the majority of holes on the front and we weren’t being too slow, so it would have been nice if he gave us some space.
