Hilly
Very hilly course making for challenging stances on some shots and the necessity to use a cart. Picturesque, beautiful views. Public/private course with oftentimes snobby members. Greens suffered some winter damage that has still to recover.
Way too slow. You need a ranger. Would not return.
Pace of play is poor. Very congested. Had a club member almost hit me with their approach to a green. Not much I could do as my group had 2 groups in front of us and no one was letting us through.
At one point the marshall struck up a conversation for approximately 15 minutes with a group while we were waiting to tee off. The group was larger and slower than ours as they were using pullcarts, while we had a power cart. Had they let us through or the marshall was instructing them on pace of play I would understand, but they were just having a conversation.
Overall good
Overall, it was good but we felt like we were being watched by the marshal. He followed us on the majority of holes on the front and we weren’t being too slow, so it would have been nice if he gave us some space.
COURSE IS WET BUT IN GREAT SHAPE
COURSE WAS WET AND WE WERE RESTRICTED TO CART PATH ONLY BUT THE FAIRWAYS AND GREENS IN GOOD SHAPE FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR. LIFT AND CLEAN WAS THE RULE ... BUT A VERY GOOD PACE OF PLAY WAS EASY TO MAINTAIN. 2 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES FOR 18 HOLES.
Worth the 2 hour drive from Winnipeg
Course was very busy.
Would have liked a little slower pace to take in the scenery and beauty of the course.
Don't understand why they don't allow carts in some places(will leave you scratching your head).
Always a pleasure to golf Kenora, but their price is on the high side(should give us long distance travellers a discount...LOL).
Great course!
Golf course is in great shape. Very playable for all levels but still provides a challenge on every hole for the more experienced golfer.
