Hole 2. Wide fairway, but obstacles. Photo submitted by oiler3535 on 08/21/2013

Hard to see how far down it is. 163, I hit my 150 club with slight headwind, and still went back fringe. Photo submitted by oiler3535 on 08/21/2013

Hole 5. Short par 4, make sure you hit the fairway. Photo submitted by oiler3535 on 08/21/2013

Awesome long layout!
Twists n turns, up n down…my first time here n I loved it
Nice
Challenging course. Hilly and long. Sloping greens. Cheers.
Big hitting course
Great golf course with lots of big hitting opportunities
Walking is a workout for 18. Beautiful hills from hole 1 to 18
Lousy conditions this year compared to other years
I usually play this course once a year on vacation and have always enjoyed it in the past. This year was a disappointment. Fairways were mainly uncut and those that were cut had uneven grass due to apparent machine malfunction. Tee blocks were in lousy shape and the greens, while looking OK, were terribly slow. I will be back next year, hoping this year was a one off.
Will Be Back
Found the course on GolfNow and decided to play on the way home from the long weekend. Nice little spot. It sure beats sitting in traffic. Will keep this in mind next time I am up this way. Staff are very friendly
Coarse
It was in good shape, staff was great. Pro shop was good pricing for all the clothing.
This is a very scenic course to play
Not my first time playing this course.
Enjoyed my game of golf.
Nice course
The day was beautiful. Course played really fast due to being a bit dry. No drink cart was a bit disappointing. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The main disappointment in the day was our member of Parliament (JY) freaking out on our foursome at hole number 3 for playing too slow and not letting him and his teammate from letting them play through. His use of profanity was displayed at this hole as well witnessed at other holes throughout the day..
Good Overall Experience
So, most of the greens are in average to good shape, however some of them need some serious tlc. The course was not busy, which made our round quick.
Very scenic course, some challenging holes
The course is in excellent condition. Challening but a fun course. One of the best in the area
Homestead at Wolf Ridge
Played this course yesterday
Lots of interesting holes and the scenery was nice
Greens were punched a week ago and not rolling perfect
Nonetheless it was a very enjoyable round of golf
Recommend you drive from Otttawa and check it out
I will be returning
friendly place
friendly ,well received , our group goes there every year , the pro is quick to get us to registered and to the first tee
Fun layout, very hilly.
I'd heard going in (this was my first time playing) that the course had been hit particularly hard by last year's drought. We got there and once we found the practice green (the whole place is a maze, with the course well signed but everywhere else not), it was in terrible condition and I was getting worried. But the course was in very good condition. Not once did I have an issue on the green complexes or tee boxes. There were some obvious places on and off the fairways where the grass was struggling, but nothing major. The only time I had a bad lie all day was when I hit into a divot in the rough on 18, and that's just bad luck.
Besides the 246 yard par 3 from the tips (into the wind!), I really enjoyed nearly every hole. Each had character (my wife particularly liked the planters made from old tree stumps; I liked that it has lots of exposed rocks and strategically placed trees), and the routing allowed for some really interesting shots with many elevation changes. To the point where despite my preference for walking courses, I might not ever want to do so at Wolf Ridge. My particular favourites were #2,3,5 (DO NOT hit anything but iron off the tee), 15 (hit it to the white marker or extremely difficult 2nd), 17, and 18.
My only issue was one that occurred because I've never played. There were a few holes where I didn't know where to hit, and it cost me a bunch of strokes. The worst was #7. A longish par 5, the 2nd shot is blind up over a hill. I hit my second to just lay up past the 150 marker. Lost ball into the hazard lining the left side. Anything landing between the 150-100 mark bounces down a steep hill to the left, right into the hazard. Not a big deal (made me mad that day lol), but if they had a little booklet you could buy for a buck or two that had a course tour with advice on it.

Course is OK management needs to be changed
Course was in OK shape. Staff was very unfriendly. Tee off times booked were ignored. Arrived 30 minutes early, course was open but was not allowed to start, must honor tee off time says Phil. Course got busy and we start 45 minutes past our scheduled time.
Sorry you were disappointed with arrival , the tee sheets have been checked by all staff as a learning experience. The tee sheets was booked solid Aug 15th from early morning to after 2 pm , your tee time as we look at the tee sheet was12:40 and on a Thursday all staff knows that is our last 18 hole tee time for the afternoon as we have an 9 hole shot gun at 5:30. We are very anxious to get 18 hole games finished and carts back in and ready for our men's night .
We pride ourselves in customer service and if we had a chance to put you out early we would of , as for honoring tee times , we have to be by the book .If you were 15 minutes late getting out from your booked tee time we apologize .
We would like you to come back and play and offer you a cart fee only for you and a friend .
Trust we will here back from you.
Regards Phil
