Good value
Some areas were swampy and some areas were dried right out. They have plenty of water available in all the ponds but for some reason, they’re not watering some of the greens and they’re dried right out brown and crunchy. Overall good value though.
What a joke!
Myself and 3 friends went golfing at the Pines yesterday. We bought a couple beers at the pro shop and started our round. They only had 9 holes available scattered all over the golf course which was fine because it’s still early and a bit wet. By the 3rd hole we realized that the guy from the pro shop who sold us the beer was following us but we didn’t think much off it. He followed us for 3 more holes and then stopped us halfway through a hole and accused us of drinking beer that we brought in with us even though we were drinking the beer we bought from them earlier. He told us he was a really good guy and didn’t mind if we had our own beer but the owner was a dick and would kick us out if he caught us. We explained to him we were drinking the beer we bought from them at the pro shop but he didn’t seem to believe us and held us up on that hole for about 5 minutes with people waiting behind us. After the discussion he took off and we finished the remaining couple holes and made our way back to the first hole right beside pro shop. This guy was waiting for us there and stopped us again as we prepared to start our last 9 holes and started harassing us again telling us how good of a guy he was but the owner was a complete dick and would kick us out if we had our own beer. At this point we were getting ticked off and told this guy to leave us alone and let us play golf and he just told us we had to leave right now. I hadn’t even had a sip of beer on the course and my friends were drinking the beer they bought from the pro shop. I’ve never been harassed like that on a golf course in my life and have no idea what this guys problem was. Needless to say we will never be going back to the Pines of Georgina again. I told a different friend of mine what happened and he told me the same thing happened to him last year more than once and they now go to a different course in Beaverton for mens night. Worst experience I’ve ever had with staff at golf course in my life. This place is a joke.
Best course in this area
This course is very challenging and unforgiving, which is what keeps us coming back for more abuse😁
The staff here are the absolute best. Friendly and welcoming

Only thing missing from great round was no beverage cart for a full course

Overall great public course. Staff was 5 stars. Great experience with them. Unfortunately the group ahead of us were a younger group which ruined the pace of play. Left white claws on the course, left a bag of driving range balls on 16. Also they were with 2 other foursomes that chatted and waited for each other after every hole. My only complaint. I’m sure it wouldn’t happen again.

Good course
This is a nice course but it does not stand out in my mind the way other comparable courses do, and I don't know why. It just doesn't.

Unfortunately after finding cans of beer that we don’t sell, cracked canoe, in our garbage bins, we were forced to investigate. We don’t allow the consumption of outside alcohol on our course. This is standard for any establishment that serves alcohol. The course is responsible for your safety, and if you’re consuming your own alcohol on top of alcohol you may purchase from the course, we are not able to ensure we are enforcing our liquor control responsibilities. Someone in your group did hand me the can of beer (a cracked canoe) and chose to continue with an attitude. At that point you were asked to leave in which you replied with an obscenity.
We appreciate your business and in the future hope if you choose to play at The Pines, you enjoy the beverages we have to offer.
