The course is very nice, and the conditions are good. Very open fairways. Biggest complaint is the length as it's only a par 62 on the classic course. Too many par 3's for my taste and no par 5's. Not a big deal if you don't mind short holes! Definitely a fun course to play though
novice's perceotion
This is my first real golfing in a small 18-hole course. I believe that many people choose this small venue for the same reasons as me. When I just played the third hole, there was a staff member who urged us to play faster, BC the people behind were giving complaint. I would like to suggest whether your golf course can arrange some special time for novices. Or you can let those who are anxious and have more experience player the more difficult stadium, or let them be more patient and not complain too much about others. Golf is a very gentle and polite sport.. This will affect my mood when playing. It also affects my technique. Thank you very much.
Fast greens
beautiful course and layout, very forgiving. Those greens were very fast! I would definitely play here again.
Dangerous
I hope I don’t sound too negative on this review. The course is well kept but it’s crammed. Fire was yelled consistently regardless of where I was playing and what hole I was playing.
Hole 3 tee spot is dangerous. It’s right behind the hole two green and no one can see the hole 3 player teeing off when you’re approaching hole 2 green.
Overall, low price but too crowded. I actually liked the Challenge course better. I’ll try Bethesda next time.
Great value
This is a great course for beginners. Wide fairway and gentle slope.
It’s alright
Here’s my review in bullet point form...
-friendly staff
-decent course conditions
-morning play in the greens was terrible with the sand build up on the ball (never seen that much sand on greens before)
-10min tee intervals makes for rushed play, not fun
-course layout is mostly straight, gets old after 5 holes
-no beer cart or washroom facilities on course
Overall, good course for beginners but if you’ve been golfing for a number of years, I’d pass on this one.
A Player in other group was not friendly
A player in the group behind us was not friendly. He complaints many times to us and saying we were slow. We have explained to him that the group ahead of us is slower.
But he didn't believe. Even worse, he hit his ball when we were near the green. His ball was rolling near our feet.
Rollings Hills Golf - Classic course review 31Aug2020
Good Executive course for rec players or seniors. No Par 5s but many challenging holes. Having played 4 similar GTA courses in past month, this Classic course is a standout in terms of challenge, enjoyment, fairways and immaculate condition of the greens. Highly recommended.
For $35 you get what you pay for
Carts are terrible.
Marshall’s are generally rude and clueless.
Extremely simple course in decent shape.
Pace of play is slow because it’s booked in 10 minute intervals with clientele that I assume is new to golf. . Around 4 hours which is poor for size of course.
No beer cart
Would only play here with friends that are new to golf or cheap.
For 35$ you get what you pay for
For 35$ 18 hole it’s a great course for new golfers. Extremely simple and forgiving. Pace of play is generally around 4 hours because the course is so full. Playing with our friends who are new to golf, we find ourselves generally waiting on the tee box for at least 5-10 minutes. Marshall’s are generally clueless and not friendly. Would only recommend classic for the cheap round. if you are debating trying Bethesda or challenger, just go to a better course. Can confirm, carts are terrible as well.
