Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club

I love this course!!

I don't play it too often because it is usually a little pricey for my budget but when I spot a good deal here I snatch it up.

This is a top notch course that rivals any other in the area and even the regular green fees are very reasonable considering the caliber of the course.

If you haven't played it yet, you should. I doubt you would be dissappointed.

I got a great deal on Golfnow, only $45.00 cart included. You'd pay double that for a similar course.

I have played Tangle Creek Many times. It is my most recommended course in the Barrie area. Always in great condition, friendly staff, good amenities and challenging greens.

My major complaint is that they let everyone on, especially on the weekends. This round of golf took 6.5 hours due to waiting on every T-deck. We had a cart and could not get any rhythm going whatsoever.

I’m not a very experienced golfer but I love to get out and try different courses. I’ve played here before and found it difficult, losing about a half a dozen balls. This time I lost 3 balls on the first hole because it would roll to the skirts of the fairways into the long bushes. I was not impressed and after that I looked upon this course as very narrow due to all of the long grasses. Once your balls roll into the grass it’s like the Bermuda Triangle. Bring extra balls and patience. Lol very challenging with lots of hazards. Unless you’re a 10 handicap player, I would recommend it.

With the exception that the greens had been aerated, this course is definitely worth playing and look forward to playing it again.

The fall colours were at their absolute peak,and yes we played some golf too.The course was perfect for an October day,the greens were the fastest and best condition I have seen this season.FIVE STARS Tangle Creek!!

Great golf course. The course was in excellent shape right from tee to green. We played on a really windy day which made the course really challenging. Overall great experience.

The course can be in great condition everything could be perfect but if the pace of play sucks then your day is shot as mine was yesterday. I left the course after 13 holes because it had been almost 4 1/2 hours up to that point and I had lost total interest in playing.

Excellent course and great value! Staff is very friendly and attentive to their customers.

Had a great day playing a scramble format with friends. The course was in great shape and the greens are starting to heal from being aerated.

Parents and kids teed off before us....a Sunday morning at 11am.....very slow! Kids got tired about the 7th hole. Not sure how many groups there were....

Beautiful course.....

only downside was the lack of a ranger to speed up the two foursomes in front of us. they were playing a two person scramble and took forever. very interesting greens, undulating and pretty fast.

Tangle Creek was a great surprise, it is a very nice golf course, beautiful set up and the layout is very challenging . The greens are very difficult. The only problem I found was in some of the par 3 the tee box was in very bad condition. Overall it was a great experience.

Took a client golfing here to conduct a meeting and golf. The club house told me when I arrived I have a third golfer. I only booked a round for 2 players as I was conducting a meeting on the course. Without asking me they put a club member on the course with me. The guy was a great guy but I was extremely disappointed that they never asked if I’d like a third player to play with me. I will not be returning to this course even though it was beautiful it was very unprofessional.

Overall a good experience for our 4-some. Course in really good condition and a excellent challenge. One really bizzare occurrence however. On one hole after we teed off, we arrived to find our balls in the possession of a bunch of kids running around on the fairway. What the??? Later we were told it was kids from the golf camp that were out and about. We don’t blame the kids but the adult supervising them (a course employee) was barely apologetic and clearly wasn’t in control of the kids. Why a group of kids are out on a golf ball hunt during course play is a bit of a head scratcher to say the least.
