Deer Valley Golf

Course was in overall good condition. Greens are consistent and we’re rolling around 10. Fairways are nice and full and cut to an appropriate length. It is unfortunate that the hills have slide causing 3 holes to lose some of their visual appeal and playing condition.

The club house carries a nice variety of merchandise and the staff are friendly.

The restaurant is acceptable but carries a limited menu. Staff were also very friendly.

Can’t use the practice facilities (practice green or driving range) until 20 minutes before your round. Can’t even pay for a bucket of balls or get your cart. Oh but the range balls are complimentary! So by the time you get your cart you’ve got maybe 15 minutes to warm up before your round. Better decide whether you want to warm up putter or your other clubs because you’ll only have time for one. So generous for a $90 round.

First time playing here and I was really impressed. You have some beautiful views of the quapelle valley on some holes. Really challenging tight holes with a river that comes into play as well. Very enjoyable round.

The day started off with a hearty breakfast at the clubhouse. Then moved to the driving range and practice green where all the shortcomings in my game were worked out. So with all the confidence in the world, the starter let me proceed to the 1st tee where I launched a 260 yard drive and split the left rough. Some days it seems all of your best shots in the bag can go missing. The course and layout at Deer Valley are pretty good, plenty of challenging holes make finding trouble easy, generous greens, a number of elevated tees with great views.
