River Spirit Golf Club - Millburn/Cattails Course

The course was in great shape. I arrived early to hit some balls and was able to get out before my scheduled tee time. The track had a bit of everything, some Narrow gaps, strategically placed bunkers and ‘risk/reward’ holes. Although there were some hills, the course was pretty easy to walk. I play just before 8 AM on a Tuesday and finished in just over three hours for 18 holes. Pace of play was awesome

Played the Cattails Course and it is very challenging. Must keep the ball on the fairway or consider the ball lost. The rough is VERY ROUGH and grass is very thick and high. No chance to retrieve any ball in the rough. The Spirit Course is much more fun to play being a little more open and and more foregiving.

great track. spirit is the best 9, then millburn, then cattails. greens roll fast, tee boxes are mostly in great condition. staff were very friendly.

The course is a great layout and in great shape. Greens are pretty good.

The cart paths and entrance road are desperately in need of some work.

Staff were all fantastic which more than makes up for the cart paths.

I came out early Saturday morning and got paired with two members, Dan and Jeff. I had a good time with the guys, played and watched some good golf, under 3h, walking. It was very wet, though. Day before it was pouring whole day plus morning dew, but course hold up very well. Fun 27 holes to play, would recommend it.

Played all 27 holes. Exhausted from walking, a couple of hills to deal with. Well worth the visit. 3 nines quite different and challenging in their own ways. Regular golfers will appreciate the layout and nuances of the course.

The Milburn 9 was great for a golfer looking for something different than the normal prairie courses. Lots of trees and elevations. The Cartails 9 was more links type, with scrub. Both in excellent condition but we have had lots of rain.

My husband and I played Millburn and Cattails yesterday and it was BRUTALLY slow. We saw a Marshall once and he really didn’t do anything. We waited about 10 mins on average on most holes. Granted we were a two-some and expected to wait occasionally but this was ridiculous.

I’ve played here quite a number of times and have thoroughly enjoyed it (which is the only reason I said I’d recommend it). If yesterday had been my only experience, I would neither recommend it nor return.

Hopefully next round will be better but I’m going to be hard pressed to pick River Spirit over some other area courses for my next few rounds.

You had LOTS of unhappy golfers yesterday River Spirit. With tons of competition for golf dollars close by, you need to address and fix this as you have a great course.

I went there after finding a good deal in GolfNow. I typically play most of my rounds in an intermediate municipal golf course and found River Spirit much longer and challenging, which is good for a change and practicing more long shots. Course condition was great, although fairways close to the greens seemed to be quite hard.

First of all I just want to comment on how friendly and helpful the staff are. They are certainly a Big part of why a golf course is successful. I like the fact they're are 3 x 9 hole courses which can add a bit of variety when playing there on a regular basis. Luv the fact they allow dogs on Sunday’s cause as a dog owner I luv my dog and I luv to play golf. Price is certainly reasonable. Ok the bad or the odd. The pro shop is on the 2nd floor and the clubhouse is on the main. With the scenery that they have I would of expected an outdoor deck overlooking the 9th holes or facing the mountains, I mean who wouldn’t want to eat a decent meal facing the mountains. No starter or marshal to make sure the pace of play was on time. The area around the carts is a bit chaotic and they need a net between the driving range and the first hole of the spirit course. All in all it was still a pleasant experience, so we’ll be definitely be back

Decent value for money when you get the hot deal. Pace of play was slow. Two groups of two in front of us. Course is in decent shape.

First time playing here. Some challenging and beautiful holes. They were preparing for the Alberta open when we were there so there was some maintenance equipment running on a few holes but didn't throw off the experience.

When I got there to play my round and check in they had no record of me using Golf Now but let me play anyway. Thank God they were kind and let me play. I don't think I will use Golf Now again.
