Pheasant Trails Golf Course
About
Set in the rugged canyon hills of the Canadian River area, Pheasant Trails was built around 1950 and is one of the better small-town courses in the region. This great-value course (Golf Digest has rated it one of the best values in Texas) features bent-grass greens, bunkers, water hazards, and mature, tree-lined fairways with narrow landing areas bordered by thick rough. Since it’s one of the only courses in the area that waters its fairways, the condition of the course is excellent.
The front nine on this course features a Scottish-links design with newly planted trees and a deep cut of rough bordering the flat fairways. The back nine is shorter and takes on more of a West Texas design with large, established trees lining the fairways.
Getting there : Driving north on I-87, head 4 miles past Dumas, then exit onto FM 119 and turn right. When you come to Country Club Terrace make a left and drive a short distance to the course. The clubhouse is on the right side of the street.

Nice track
Nice course with two different layouts on the front and the back. Front is for sure the easier as the back is lined with trees. Great pace of play, worth the drive.
Best kept secret in the Texas Panhandle!
A great course and a great staff. The front 9 is a links-style course, and the back 9 features tree-lined fairways. There is no longer a restaurant at the course, but there are snacks and drinks in the clubhouse.Should be a great outing since the course is never very crowded.
Nice course
Nice course to play, fairways plush and fast greens
Great course for the Texas Panhandle
Course was in great shape considering the lack of rain we have had in the region. This time of year bermuda fairways still are dormant. Greens were nice. Staff and pro shop are great. Resturant here was good as well. Take advantage of the front 9, because the back 9 is lined with trees and O.B. on some holes. Overall a good course.
Great Condition
They have received a lot of rain this year and it is in really good condition. Greens are great!
The course is in pretty good shape, Have had alot of rain lately.
Enjoyed the round. They have done a good job of keeping the mosquitos at bay. Overall the course and the staff were good.
