Excellent
Frequently go to this course as it’s excellent for practicing your short game
Still challenging for a Par 3 course
Challenging par 3 course
We have been playing here for the last 4 yrs. It is now getting very busy, I think a marshal is warranted on the weekends, very slow round today, mainly due to NON Ready golfers in front of us. IT‘S A PAR 3 Course, pick your ball up after 5 shots and stop hitting 3 balls off the tee when there is a line up of people behind you.
I do like the course, just not how it is managed on weekends.
White Sands
Like many courses in this area , this course suffored winter damage. Of the 9 holes, 4-5 greens were
temporary greens created on fairways near greens making putting a joke. NOT a “Hot Deal”.
Early Season
Still a few temp greens to start the year. I think they're ready to go so hopefully open soon. Rest of the course (tees, traps) are good. Always enjoy a quick 9 at WS, challenging if you don't hit your irons well. Bar has been added but not open today. Range is on mats only and practice area not open yet. Hopefully all in full swing soon.
Golf by a mile.
I finally beat my wife. Ooops We didn't even keep score. AH.well. We had a good time. Cheers.
Course is well situated.
Fairways and greens are in excellent condition. Nice par 3 for short game practice. Course has several ponds with
an assortment of water fowls which I appreciate.
Fun little course
Love playing this challenging little par 3 ...lots of sand, water and weeds for the shots off target but I found the fairways and greens in great shape.
Disappointing service. Great golf.
We play White Sands depending on weather 1 to 2 times a week. Despite the heat, greens are I good shape. Disappointing service a the proshop. We always book through Golf Now. First the person said we had no booking for a tee time and rudely demanded proof. When I provided an email confirmation she said we had to pay despite the fact Golf Now charges a credit card directly. When the proshop staff finally agreed we had a prepaid fee time she continued to be rude when we asked about how the day was going and if there were players ahead of us. Although we arrived 30min early she told us we need to be sure to to be late. Hope her day got better. Had a great game despite it all.
Excellent Graham Cook designed short course
This is a Par 3 short course that features an abundance of the design features that Graham Cook is famous for, namely, bunkering and greens that have subtle swales and tiers. The course was in excellent condition despite the hot, dry weather we've been having for weeks. Kudos to the greens keeper.
They have a first rate practice facility... driving range, short game area with bunker and putting green. Canadians are a little bit behind the U.S. in recognizing/appreciating short/executive courses in general... too bad.. they don't know what they are missing :>)
Hot deal good value
This course is fun for a poor golfer like me, but tee times are not observed so one winds up feeling quite rushed.
We let a duo who started early on the first tee (before their scheduled time ) play through but still had someone pushing us almost the whole course.
Excellent
Even for an accomplished player this course allows one to play irons and the bunkers are awesome as are the greens.
Really I recommend this course, 90 minutes for 9 holes, thumbs up.
Love going for a quick round of golf
Just enough for what I need
