Great place to play golf
Don't miss playing this course, great greens with good challenging holes
Airmail Pilot
This faculty has had ups and downs. Not their fault. But the course has some real interesting holes. Number 9 North from the tips is one of the toughest par 4s I ever have played. When the rough is allowed to grow you will have a hard time with an 80. I do not play it in those conditions. My complaint is Number 4on the East. It's almost unplayable!!! Trim the darn trees!
What a deal!
Great weather and the course was in good shape. Well worth the money
Quick Greens
I would play here again! Need to play it. Make sure you call first.
Fun course, good value
We played in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. The course was virtually empty - we only saw 5 or 6 other people playing.
Lots of water on this course, so you might want to bring some extra balls. The Fairways were in good shape and the greens were all pretty good. A few greens had more un-repaired ball marks than I'd care for.
The day we played, the course had some standing water in a few spots, but the area had been getting rain for a week straight so it was somewhat expected. I'd play this course again.
STONECREST
GREAT COURSE, NICE STAFF A pleasure to play. Alot of challenging holes and very senic!
Scheduling nightmare
This is the second time playing this course and I have had nothing but bad luck with the staff. I registered my t time via golf now both times. Yesterday irritated me enough to write this review. I booked a 2:00 and when I arrived the parking lot was full. It was obvious there was an event. When I checked in, sure enough. Sir you can only play the West course twice. Stone Crest is a 27 holes course. Everyone who has played the west course knows how boring it is. I drove 3 hours total to play 9 holes. The rain came in and that was all she wrote. Blahhhh blah.
tremendous layout
Had not played this course in about 5-6 years. Played West and then North. Tremendous layout and greens were in excellent shape. Only criticism would be the tee boxes on the North course could use some watering.
Good playable course
Nice course and very fun layout. Nice country setting with good carts and cart paths. A good challenge for anyone.
Go. Play.
Gotta love this course when you play it. I mean it's not long even from the back tees. Generous fairways but still a great track.
Go. Play. You won't regret it.
To many par 3s
This course has 3 par 3s. The grass is much to tall
and to thick, makes it hard to make good contact with the ball.
Avoided the really bad weather
Wind blew on the front side, cross wind on every hole
started raining at the turn, rained for 4 holes then it was pretty nice all in all good day golfing pin placements were brutal. PEOPLE FOR GOD SAKE REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS. I bet I repaired a 100 ball marks in 18 holes and still could get half of them
Good value
The fairways are getting a bit hard even with all the rain. They are still green and look great, but the roll-off is difficult to play. The ruffs need cut a bit shorter so you at least find your ball once it rolls-off the fairway. The greens are in good shape. Overall I shot my normal score but the East played more difficult by nine strokes than the West. The North course is closed for repair.
North Course is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
Even though we secured a great value for our tee time through GolfNow, the condition of the "fairways" on the North Course were unacceptable.
Call ahead and ask which courses the Pro Shop says you will be playing and if one of them is the North Course, go somewhere else.
We like the West and East Courses, but the North Course should be closed due to the horrible condition of the "fairways."
I uploaded four photos of the "fairways" on the North Course.
A very good value
For the most part, this is a fun and somewhat challenging course. My only serious complaint is the anount of clover in the rough makes it very difficult to find your ball. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience.
stonecrest west and east courses
good honest course in good condition. play here often, bring guest who seem to appreciate the course and condition.
Great Course
Stone Crest is an outstanding golf course. The fairways and greens are in great shape. T
North/ East course.
The course over all was in good shape. The bugs on the North course were AWFUL!!!!!! 3-4 holes into the North it was unbearable with bugs flying into our eyes, nose, mouth, ears!!!
very nice course
This is a very nice course, well maintained. Has a good mix of challenging holes and the 27 hole layout allows you to play something different on each visit.
