Course in very good shape for a public course in east Texas
Had a great round. Course in great shape. Staff very friendly.
Wonderful 1st time experience in Jacksonville
Needs rain but still in good playable condition. Greens rolled very good. With the temps below 90 in mid August, surprised there were not more players. I heard that this course has too many blind shots, there were a few but not difficult to handle.
Short but challenging. Well maintained.
Greens were in good shape. They veried in size but all presented opportunities to make puts. Fareways were tight on several holes with little chance for recovery from wayward drives. Overall nice layout.
Nice course
Nice course and friendly staff. Pace of play was good as well.
Course seems very unorganized
The course seems to be taken care of but half of the holes, you are hitting the ball and you have no idea what you're hitting into or where you're supposed to be hitting. Also, none of the holes are marked and since this was our first time to play there, we were confused most of the day. On top of it all, several groups were behind us and literally hit into us for several holes before we decided to go back to hole 7 to get behind them all. They obviously knew the course better than us but they were very rude about how they treated us. Also, the carts were in very poor condition. There were several times when I didn't know if I was gonna be able to stop. I will not play this course again.
Confusing and a bit dated
The course is serious need of upgrades. Better layouts and development are needed. Some holes were pristine, but other need attention. Some holes you are playing are surrounded by beautiful homes and great scenery, but others are next to farmland. The cart paths are difficult to navigate and incomplete. Greens were in good condition, but tee boxes were often slanted and need to be leveled better. The clubhouse was closed when we came, and it was difficult to find the pro shop (it is small and attached to an auxiliary building next to the clubhouse. The course layout is very weird too. Holes 1-6 and 16-18 are played on the clubhouse side of the highway, and 7-15 are on the other side. You have to go through a tunnel under the road, and is very narrow (we almost hit another group coming through the tunnel. That would have been fun).
The driving range was not even set up . The club pro told us his attendant did not pick up the range, and did little to offer us a solution (we took a first hole mulligan due no warm up).
Better organization, a little more attention to the course overall, and some better landscaping would really help this course.
great course
TOP OFF THE LINE,SMOOTH GREENS,GOOD FAIRWAYS,EVERYONE WAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL,WE WILL BE BACK SOON
Best value in my area!
Well maintained, great greens and bunkers, cheap beer and great staff!
Nice challenging course
Had a great time on a challenging course. One of the members came up as we were teeing off and played with us giving us tips and the layout to play as we went along. Will definitely go back
Great value and pace of play
Well maintained and very helpful staff. Fun course.
Nice greens
Very nice course with very fast greens, course in good shape, and when we played at 11am there was all of about ten people on the course.
Love the greens, fast and true. needs a cart girl or two!!!!!
I feel that the course is very well taken care of. the staff is pretty cool. the only complaints I have is that, without a deal from golfnow.com the normal rate of $55 on the weekends is outrageous. Also, no cart girl. With the turn coming at the farthest point from the club house, (9 green is across the highway), it would help to have something other than water on the course. candy, gatorade, beer, etc.
it's challenging but not too difficult.
enjoyed playing here, do not walk this course unless it's in the fall or spring, not summer. it's a long walk.
Definitely use golfnow.com
Nice course with several very challenging holes due to targets that you don't know are there until you've played it once or twice. The rates are way too high unless you watch for hot deals on GolfNow.com
This course is one of the best values in East Texas
The course was in good shape and we had an enjoyable experience. The only down side was that the greens had been airated and sanded recently, but they putted pretty true. We will definitely be back.
Course was in good condition
course was in good condition greens were fine staff was very friendly
