Needs some TLC
Layout is OK. Some holes really need home course knowledge off the tee. Especially the way your ball rolls on the dried out fairways. Best thing about it is the pace of play. If you're looking for somewhere to play quickly or take new players out I'd recommend it. Otherwise save your time and money. Greens were mostly green but you have to hammer the ball and they weren't smooth at all.
If you have to play it
Pretty dry and dead. Greens are green but not even at all. Poorly mowed and need to be sanded and smoothed. Fairway and tees are mostly dead. Lost a ball is a leaking sprinkler wash out.
Played in just over 2hrs so that was nice. I'd take kids or someone new there but not a great track otherwise.
Disappointed
Was hoping that with all of the rain the course would have been better. The greens were ok, the cut was uneven and they were slow. One green looked as if it had not been mowed at all. Tee boxes were mostly bare and hard as a rock. Probably won’t be back.
Good place!
In short, it has good greens, the layout is somewhat confusing, on the first hole the ball is mixed with the balls from the practice range, in general it is a good place
Nice 9 hole golf course
The course layout looks okay. When you play in blue tee, the 2nd shot would be challenging. I got a 7 iron for the 2nd shot.
The course condition is not quite good, but it is okay for beginners. The green looks fine.
A lot of leaves made us difficult to find the ball in the rough.
Always friendly staff!
Course is a little unkept & sprigs sprouting on green makes putting a little harder!
Poor Quality
Greens, and fairways are barely greens and fairways. It’s not much fun hitting in the middle of a fairway just to feel like you're in the rough. Green’s have holes in them and are completely uneven. I’d recommend this course if you just need something cheaper to play, but it’s nothing more than that.
Nice little 9 hole course
Great little 9 hole course. Considering this area has been in a drought the course was in good shape. Several tree lined fairways, challenging course. Met one of the owners, seemed like a swell guy who cares about the course. All the staff was friendly and helpful. Carts were in good shape. Will definitely play here again. Nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of College Station.
Nice course, great deal!
First time to play this nice 9-hole layout within 30-40 minutes of B/CS. Greens appear to be well cared for in this blistering heat. Rest of the course is dry, but playable. Can't beat the rate!
