About
Indian Oaks is an old 18-hole course with wide fairways that flow along the hilly terrain of Nocona. The course is loaded with trees and bunkers, and water hazards are sprinkled throughout.
The architect provided a welcome opportunity to start off well by placing the easiest hole as the first (278-yard par 4). The signature hole is No. 15, a 346-yard par 4 with a severe dogleg fairway. The back nine plays a little more difficult, with particularly tough finishing holes. No. 17 is a 205-yard par 3, followed by a 500-yard-plus par 5 as the finisher.
Getting there : From Wichita Falls, take Hwy 82 east to Nocona. Once in town, look for the course entrance on the right side of the road.

The course was in good shape for the time year. Feb.
The greens were in great shape and the fairways,even though dormant, were in good shape. The course plays pretty short on some holes and a good score can be had if you keep the ball fairly straight off the tee boxes. Overall it's a good place to play for golfers of all skill levels.
