Sonora Golf Course

About
Unlike other small town courses in this region, the Sonora Golf Club has extremely large greens (only one that is elevated) that make it much easier rack up the Greens in Regulation (G.I.R.) stats. If you've been played courses like Alpine and Marfa with tiny postage-stamp greens, you will gladly welcome these larger targets. The course is generally flat, but its location on the edge of the Hill Country provides some hilly terrain. Water comes into play on only three holes, and there are plenty of trees that can cause problems if your game is off.
Getting there : From I-10, take the second Sonora exit. Make a left, go under the highway, then turn left again. Travel to Golf Course Rd. and turn right, where you'll find the course at the end of the road.
