Westwood Shores Country Club

About
The track here along Lake Livingston weaves around eight man-made lakes, with holes that roll through skinny, pine-tree lined fairways routing to averaged-sized greens.
The par 5s stand out for their length, one on each side. No. 8 is ranked number two in terms of difficulty, but plays 590 yards, while the toughest hole is No. 12 at a mere 569 yards.
Getting there : From I-45 north, take Hwy. 19 towards Trinity. When you come to Hwy. 94, turn right drive down FM 356, then turn right again and drive 3 miles to the course. The course is on the left side.

Nice course for the price
Only cons are:
Can’t bring your own drinks
The beer from the bar is not cold
Tee boxes are not very level on some holes
Other than that it’s a really good course.
Cheap but not good.
Course was fairly cheap but almost unplayable. Fairways were as thick as most nice courses first cut of ruff and the greens we’re no different. Course layout is pretty cool but overall not worth it to me.
Good play for the money
Course is in nice condition except the tee boxes, tee boxes are not flat and grass beaten down. Pace of play would be great but others that live there cut around from hole to hole but typically get out of the way pretty quick. There’s a restaurant at the clubhouse there’s not any cart drinks or anything like that though. All in all as long as you’re not playing during the same time the daily scramble is going on it’s a great course for the price.
New area to be in!
We went on a summer trip with my wife’s family in the area and found this hidden gem! Fun layout but has a few holes that are ridiculously hard. I’ve never seen my father in law as made as I did on the wet dogleg left this course has. Any place that can give him a double bogey is A Oookay in my book!
