About
Mountain View was built in 1976 as a cooperative effort between officials of both Reeves and Culberson counties. At over 4,000 feet, this is a true Texas mountain golf experience.
Tee shots soar, and approaches to the green must be hit with one club less than routinely played from other Texas courses. Length off the tee is simply not required. The fairways are generous and are generally firm to provide more roll, and the two par 5s are well under 500 yards. The toughest test on this course is the par 3s (Nos. 3 and 8), which have been lengthened recently and now play at around 200 yards. The Greens are bent-grass, and in great condition.
The pro shop offers drinks and snacks (no beer) and basic golf amenities.
Getting there : Exit Golf Course Drive, and drive 1 mile south of town on I-10.
