Available FacilitiesClubhouse, Lounge, Banquet Facilities
This is a lovely little course, target golf and for the most part well maintained. The facility is clean, food service excellent when they remember to grocery shop. For the most part the staff is friendly but turnover means constant re-training. The club does not have a pro and only staff who have been there awhile know anything about golf. Club repair is not provided, no lessons with no pro. If you plan to use the club to have a tournament, you better know how to run and manage it yourself as only one person is available to help depending on the day of the tournament. It appears the course is used to raise or filter employees for Win River, the owner and the course itself is an afterthought. That is very sad as with a little more care an attention the club could be a much more vital one. Oh, and there is no water other than a fountain mid course.
A very scenic 9 hole course, easy to walk, fairly priced and plenty to challenge you. A shorter course but well kept and trees will come into play. Too many geese.
I made the reservation showed up for the round and was denied the Golfnow rate.. Course told me they weren't invoked in Golfnow anymore .. So I paid full price " very disappointed" no less
Will not accept Golf Special
The golfing was great..... but the guy at the pro shop said that they won't be honoring the Golf Sac. specials anymore... get the word out....thank you
Course is good for your short game.
River Tasalmi is a good short game course. But they no longer honor Golf Now's prices and and arranged tee times. So that was a bummer to find out.
Im not going to get into in great detail but this is the best 9 hole course in Redding Ca......The staff take pride in there work from the Club House to the last hole. This is how a course is supposed to be ran.
Perfect fall weather.
Perfect fall weather. Course has several places where you have to shoot over water. Fun.
Good short course
This golf course is short but good. It is quite challenging because of narrow fairway.
Greens are small.
Course is in good shape. Greens are flat but fairly fast and consistent. Short course, can only use driver on two holes.
i have played this course before and always have liked it. It is a shorter course and good for developing new and beginner players. I have never eaten there, but hear that the food is really good.
Great fun for the money.
This course is a lot of fun and has some challenge too.
Not my first choice
When it first opened, it was a good little course. Unfortunately, it has gone through numerous changes since then. It would probably be one of my last choices for a round of golf in the area.
Course is great shape, even with the heat, only saw one other golfer on the course, just had to wait about 10 minutes and then find someone that could check us in.
Tight little 9 hole course, challenges you to use your irons and wedges more. Well maintained . You can shoot a quick nine or play 18 and still have time to do other things.
<GolfNow.com> ... even if it rains!
T-time purched online the previous day. Rained heavily throughout the night and into the morning. Our T-time was just before noon and as we were in the city and the rain had stopped, we went to the Course. But the Clubhouse was locked. We encountered a green's keeper and explained our situation... he provided score-cards and invited us to take pull carts and .."have a good day!".... we did!
After completion of our 18 hole , we found the Club to be open and went in to settle up. The person in the ProShop accepted our payment of the 2 pull carts, without comment.
We commend the "greens' keeper" for being "on duty" and his willingness to put "clients first". He is an asset to this Club.
It was a wonderful afternoon activity. And aside from the wildlife (geese, deer, ground squirrels & assorted birdies) we were alone on this delightful course. Even after the rains, the greens were fast.
Challenging 9 Hole Course
Most of the holes on this course plays the risk/reward play. Take the easy shots and your score will be decent (usually).
Nice Monday course
Since our course is closed on Mondays, and my wife rarely is off during the week, this was a fun afternoon as the holidays come to a close. With California's drought, it was easy to predict great weather. The course was in fine shape, it has tiny greens that were a little slow. There were a few groups ahead of us as we started, all let us through and we finished in about three hours. The bar staff was very friendly, which almost made up for the "anti-golfnow" manager in the pro shop. We'll go back again some Monday.
Great little course.
My wife and I had a nice time at this course. We're both pretty
new to golf and found this place to be challenging but not frustrating. Can't beat the $5 HOT DEAL!!
Great value and a green well kept course near sac river.
It's a little cooler on this course, and the extra coolness and moisture allows the fairways and greens to stay looking pretty good. This course isn't too difficult or too easy. It's a place to work on good clean starts and iron play. I'd play this course again especially at the 5$ deal for 18.
