Fun play for the money
Not the most dramatic or exceptional course in the area, but for the money, a fun play. Course was in good condition and staff friendly. I wouldn't run out to play again, but if in the area and wanting to get in a round, would stop in and play.
Good course in good condition
I am member here. Have been member at 3 other courses in the area in the past, but you get the most for your money at Battlement Mesa.
It is a fairly long track, but good tee placements make it playable for a 1 handicap or a high handicap. Just play the correct tees.
Course is always in excellent condition. Pace of play is good. You can lose balls, but the fairways are all pretty wide and long.
Pro Shop staff is always very accomodating.
Pace is a bit slower on weekends, with no ranger, but still moves better than many courses in the area. Restaurant has good food, if sometimes slow service when they are busy.
One of the Best Western Colorado
A top quality layout and better condition now. I live in the area and recommend Battlement GC to anyone who has the chance to play in the area. Good variety of holes, all the distance you can handle 7600+ tips, 5 or 6 tee boxes on each hole, pick your poison, great views, only a few holes w/ houses on the back nine, none on the front.
West wind in the spring can make the back nine a beast!
