So nice we played it twice.
Showed up to play 18. Loved it so much we played 18 more! Fantastic immaculate wide fairways. The rough was thick and tough to play out of. Greens were large and in perfect condition and putted true. Very undulated!!! Didn't always hold approach shots. Do not go long! Super friendly staff! Would go back in a heartbeat!
Great fun course
A bit short for me from the Reds so I moved back to the gold tees. Will def return

Great setting on the Yampa River
Awesome experience. Course was in pristine condition, friendly staff, not crowded. Could not have been any better.
Wonderful gem of a course
Course is in fantastic condition. I was properly rewarded for good shots, and i was punished fairly, for missing the fairways.
The greens are challenging, and roll smoothly. Nice undulations require focus on every putt.
Bunkers are in great condition.
Very nice staff.
Nice carved wood sculptures on every tee box.
Yampa Valley in Craig
Each year we visit Steamboat Springs and take the beautiful one hour ride to Craig to play this course. This year it was in the best condition I've ever seen it. This is a good course for my wife and me since with the new back tee boxes the course is challenging enough for me but easy enough for my wife to enjoy from the forward tees. The setting is beautiful in lowland near the Yampa river with mountains all around. The only semi-negative is that the pro shop staff never has been very outgoing or friendly, like "have you played here before" or "is there anything about the course you need to know". Maybe this is more than I should expect, but it would be nice anyway. But, all in all, this course is a little gem.
Also, the restaurant is pretty good and that staff always has seemed friendly and accommodating.
Craig
Had not played this course in a while and they have it in great shape. A few remodeled and new tee boxes with flowers and nice walls. Sand traps were well prepared and greens were good. I will be back
The Yampa never disappoints.
Beautiful gem in Craig. Great staff. Great course. Wind can make it tricky, but always a fun course to play. Love it there.
Relaxing and Most Enjoyable
This course is a hidden gem in the Steamboat Springs area. It is a short drive and is always in great shape. The different tee box locations offer a challenge to all level of golfers and the greens roll true and are in great shape, as are the fairways. Although the clubhouse is dated the staff is very friendly--Treat yourself and play this course. It is also much more reasonably priced than the other Steamboat courses. We always play this course on our annual visit to Steamboat--give it a try and ENJOY!

Very nice course.
Just moved to the area and found this course online. Booked through Golfnow.com and got a great deal. Course was in really good condition. Greens were fast and small. Fairways were a little tight but still room for error if you're a high handicapper. I'm definitely going back!
