Prestwick Country Club

The course reviews were accurate. I had a little time and Prestwick was very close to my hotel. There are no greens. They must be totally cut out and refurbished. I saw one grounds guy in a 4 hour round. I COULDfhave played it in 3. One thing the wildlife was every where. Deer, rabbitts and all types of birds. The bunkers are grown over. The rough is a penalty and so is the fairway. The strange thing is the carts have electronics that work. This course makes you move thw ball both directions. It is a beautiful pice of property. Someone needs to come on and bring it back to what looks like a once awesome course.

Unbelievable. Horrific “course”. Couldn’t even putt on greens. It’s a shame because the bones of this course are solid. It would make great course but it’s not taken care of at all. Do not spend money here. There’s no excuse for how bad it is.

The driving range is tall grass and no range spots. No hot food, tee boxes were like Swiss cheese with tall grass, and the greens were like the surface of the moon.

It’s not playable. The greens are legitimately not playable. They have dead spots everywhere and it makes it so the ball has no chance of moving straight. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

Clubhouse wasn’t open. Course was in HORRIBLE shape. Will not be spending money here ever again.

Even though I’m fairly new to golf, $50 for 18 holes with a cart is a stretch for how poorly the fairways are done and let’s not even talk about the greens Jesus Christ. I paid about the same price at Saddlebrook and it was literally night and day difference, I won’t be coming back for the foreseeable future until something is done. The course has a great layout IMO but come on.

Had a 7am tee time on Saturday, April 25th and showed up ready to play — only to find nobody on site. No staff, no one to check us in, nothing. We were just left standing there with no way to access the course.

If you're going to offer early morning tee times, you need to actually have someone there to honor them. A complete waste of a Saturday morning. Will not be returning.

This course has had its ups and downs. It definitely is on the up. Course looks great a few weeks into 2026. The team needs to be applauded for their hard work going into the grounds. Green fees are not cheap anywhere, so with support, and community spirit I see this course blowing up with positive energy.

Course is god awful. The layout is nice, but condition-wise, it’s the worst I’ve ever seen. There’s no difference in the rough to the fairway nor to the green. You should just leave your putter at home because you won’t be able to use it with their greens.

I use to play this course 20 years ago. It was a beautiful, well manicured course. Now it was a goat pasture!! You could not putt on the greens because it was so rough and not maintained. You couldn’t find your ball in the fairway because of the dandelions and the rough was so tall you couldn’t find your ball.

Course is in really bad shape. Would play here more often if price was lower. Very unfortunate because the course layout is phenomenal but for $45 i can play at much nicer courses.

The big convenience is that the course is easy to get onto.

The course itself is laid out well and provides some challenges. The sand traps are filled with grass and some of the greens are in less than average shape.

As long as you are looking for a convenient place to play, this course will do fine. I simply wish the greens and traps were better maintained.

Granted, I am a very new golfer ( a little over a year) I have never ever played a course this poorly managed, from the grass ankle high tee boxes, to the diseased fairways and greens. I have nothing but nice things to say about the staff the hotdog at the turn was one of the best I’ve had, but in no world can you charge someone 45 dollars to play at this course. Top of the line golf carts, an entire what looks like a newly remodeled bar completely empty. It was odd because if you didn’t play any golf and just walked around the clubhouse/ putting area you’d think you are in for a great day. SAVE YOUR MONEY OR GET A REFUND. I bit the bullet not wanting to deal with the hassle of getting a refund in a week but I would rather sacrifice a weekend of golf than to waste any more money playing here.

VERY SAD HOW THIS ONCE PROUD COURSE HAS FALLEN INTO DISREPAIR.

TEE BOXES WERE TERIIBLE, GREENS HAVE WEEDS GROWING ON THEM. WORST FAIRWAYS i HAVE EVER PLAYED. MOSTLY DIRT AND CRABGRASS.

Might be the worst golf course I’ve ever played. Tee time was at 8am and no one showed up to the course till about 8:30. Looks like no one’s taken care of the course in a couple years. Nothings cut. Tee boxes are overgrown, fairways are non existent, rough is 6 inches high, and bunkers aren’t even bunkers any more; just filled with weeds and grass. Do not waste your money to come play here.
