Much improved
Great changes to what used to be MCCC. Many unnecessary trees have been removed. Probably best sand in the bunkers of any course I’ve played. New greens are starting to roll similar to existing ones. Par 5 #6 so much better than before with bunkers on left. #11 new short par 3 over a pond is fun addition. Green fees are high for the area.
Mason City CC
Our group made a day trek to Mason City CC. The staff was friendly and very accommodating amid the Covid 19 Pandemic. The course itself was short but very challenging due to tight fairways and many greens sloped steeply from back to front. The course was in good condition for mid-April and the greens rolled true and well. I am hoping to get back and see this course in full bloom as I would think it would provide a good challenge.
