Kansas City Country Club

Kansas City Country Club is a classic A.W. Tillinghast design that is ripe with history. While several architects have made changes to the course in its history, the layout still retains a strong golden age feel.

The routing of Kansas City CC is one of the best I've played. Each hole flows nicely into the next one, with minimal distance between greens and tees.

The Zoysia fairways are immaculately maintained, and provide an excellent playing surface. The greens are difficult to read and roll very true. If you're reading the greens right, you will make a lot of putts at KCCC.

The maintenance staff has done a nice job with the green approach areas, working to make them play firmer and faster to allow for the ground game. It also provides a really great look from the fairways.

My favorite hole is the par 5 eighth hole. With a good drive, it's borderline reachable, but both the drive and the 2nd are challenging shots.

I definitely recommend playing Kansas City CC if you get the opportunity.
