Re: horrible conditions
I've played this course many times and was very satisfied with its previously good condition. Not sure what is going on but the conditions are now absolutely atrocious. Currently, every single green has brunt up or developed what looks like fungal patches. Ball never rolled true and just kept bouncing back and forth. Putting was a near impossible part of the game. It also didn't help that 3 holes were shut down until further notice while they redo the fairways. Overall, very displeased with a course I used to love.
Never had a chance
We arrived an hour or so before our Tee time. They were closed. No email, text, alert, notification that this was the case. It was dry out when we arrived. Wasnt going to rain until late in the day. Someone called it quits and got a Saturday off out of it. We, were left stranded and now will have to struggle to get our money back. I left a voicemail when we arrived as well. No return call. Speaks for itself. Very disappointed.
Closed course without telling us
We had booked a tee time for 1:30pm and we showed up at 12:20. The course was a ghost town and we find out from a local member that the course was closed for the day. No Call, no warning, nothing. We had drove an hour to get to this course. Meanwhile we are out the entire amount of money we paid!! Absolutely no excuse for this way to run a golf course. I would love to be contacted by someone to fix our entire wasted day. I am honestly so disappointed in the owner.
Would be okay as a local course
Travelled a little over a hour to play on a Wednesday. The course needs some real TLC. Greens are in pretty good shape but the rest of the course is very hit and miss. Parts of the fairways are okay, but most have huge dead spots, tire tracks, or both. The layout could be very fun with better conditions.
Windbridge
I played after a bit of rain the day before. The back nine was flooded, and you could not play. They offered me a rain delay for 9. The front nine is challenging but extremely fun.
Windbridge
I played after a weekend of rain. The course is beautiful, but the back nine are unplayable because of flooding. Nobody told us this when we checked in. They were very apologetic and offered us a complimentary round of 9 holes.
at the right time, its wonderful
unfortunately, the greens were recently aerated
and the front nine greens were really really hairy and slow. the back nine were more cut, so faster, but still bumpy. a hole in one on 12 happened in my group, those guys were fun. it's a tight challenging course, and during prime season it's a great course to play. Semiprivate. unsure of the amenities offered beyond basic things. I play out here once or twice a month
This course can challenge even the best golfers
Fairways are nice and plush. our course is getting new Fairways this summer So playing off any grass is appreciated. Greens were fair, but had many unrepaired ball marks. that’s typical on any course that has players that don’t respect the golf course. I noticed several areas where golf carts driving up to greens and tee boxes had caused extensive wear and tear.. overall. it’s a good course for the price. you get what you pay for.
Overall, the course was in decent shape taking into account the time of year and weather conditions.
