SLOW PLAY
I've played 15 different course in New England over the past 2 months, and this one was by far the slowest and most congested. A round should never take 5hrs and 20min
Nice Surprise
I'll admit, the first 2 holes on the Championship Course is just OK. But once you cross the street for the next 14 holes, the layout/design is fantastic! Loved the course overall and the staff was great. The pace was kind of slow but tolerable. I'll be back!!
Excellent value!
My adult son and I played here Tuesday and Wednesday while on vacation. Excellent value for the money. The greens were heavily watered so they were soft and slow but were in excellent condition. The fairways were also excellent. The tee boxes needed some work- they were really small so not much room to move golfers around from day to day but they could be seeded more frequently and watered more. The staff were very friendly. The pace was a bit slow but expected at "resort golf". Still we got through both days in under 4.5 hours...probably not too crowded because we started at 10am and it was 85-90 degrees both days. The back 9 is a bit tougher than the front. We are both 11.5 index and I shot 39 front one day and my son 38 the next. Mid 40s on the back. I will play again!
Good value - friendly staff
Falmouth CC is a reasonably easy course without a lot of trouble. Fairways are mostly flat, so the course is an easy walker. The starter was extremely helpful. He took the time to explain the layout in some detail. The greens have red, white and blue flags which always make front, middle and back a lot easier to figure. Falmouth CC also has a good driving range for warmups and you can drive your golf cart right up next to the range. The pace of play for a summer afternoon was surprisingly fast. Even though the course was busy, we finished in under 4 hours.
Golfing with friends
Had an 8:28 am tee time. Check in was easy and friendly. Starter got us out early and the pace of play was excellent.
Course was in good condition and the greens held very well. Finished in 4 hours. We'll be back
Falmouth CC on the 4th of July
I have played this course a few times before peak season and thought it was pretty good. I was in Falmouth for the weekend of the 4th, I paid for 18 and a cart and it took 3:20 minutes to get to the 10th hole. Now I understand a course is going to be busy on the 4th in the Cape and I was expecting a 4:45 round at the absolute worst. Not a 6:40, that's unacceptable no matter where you are.
Aside from that, the course is in good shape, not very challenging and pretty flat considering it's a Cape Course.
Greens- Were in good shape, not very fast or true but kept well
Fairways- Aside from the first hole which was muddy/clumpy, all of the other fairways were great
I'm going back this weekend and have an early time and hopefully I can finish the round under 4:30.
the course was in great shape.
Course looked good and played well. Some challenging holes with undulating greens. Fun to play.
Overrated
Staff is great too bad course is not. Worst tee boxes anywhere I have played, muddy and not maintained at all. Greens were very inconsistent, looks like the pin placements are never changed.
Not a bad layout but very poorly maintained.
good course
Good course when down the Cape. Not a lot of trouble off the t. nice course to hit if you want to wait for traffic to die down before heading home from a beach weekend.
Poorly Managed
The course seemed like a good venue but was unable to complete round secondary to time constraints. I had a threesome booked for 11:36 but we didn't tee off until approximately 20 minutes later with people with later tee times allowed off before us. The twosomes ahead of us should have been paired up to expediate the process. After over 3 1/2 hour front nine, not due to our play, We had to discontinue play due to the time it would have taken us to finish. We did receive a voucher to play nine but with an early expiration date and to be honest don't know if any of my party would return. Too bad because we were all looking forward to playing the course.
Good track but too expensive.
Falmouth CC is a nice course and a good challenge, but it's not worth $78 a round with a cart.
Glad I made the trip.
Even though this course was an hour drive it had very good reviews online. Everything about the experience made it worth the trip. A challenging course full of beautiful holes, well maintained fairways and greens. The staff was very friendly and the weather was perfect.
Forgiving fairways
Receptive greens , tee boxes good, need to play smart club down on the hard doglegs. Lots of fun great staff.
Challenging course in great shape
Green roll true fairways are nice and a few tight par 5's protected by water made it a fair challenge
Playing with my son
Good time, great pace of play, greens were very good, reasonable price, bring water , no cart girl early in the morning
Pretty straight
Overall ok. Greens in good shape but fairways way too dry.
After 2 pm at 29$ is a good deal. Wouldn't pay more.
Had fun
This is an excellent course. The 18 hole course has open a tree lined fair ways. The average golfer should not have to much trouble playing
Good conditions
Course in excellant shape. Greens real nice. Layout is unimaginative and repetitive
Very Enjoyable Course
My playing partner and I found this course to be very enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was in excellent shape. Also, it has nice large greens.
Hidden Savings
I had booked for a foursome threw Golfnow, and found a great price to play. My wife and I and my two children. When I checked it at the clubhouse the manager stated that kids are free on the 9 hole course. He suggested we just play two rounds. If I had known the deal was better than Golfnow. I maybe would have called first. Makes me wonder if other courses have similar deals for children.
Sorry you did not have a great experience. We strive to give our customers the best playing conditions possible. We just finished a very extensive bunker renovation and realize that our tee boxes are our next top priority. We are aware that our tees are small and this makes it difficult to maintain the turf with limited space for proper tee rotation. We do have a daily rotation of our pin placements and our greens are back in great shape. I hope youll find the course in better shape for your next visit.”
