Great conditions
Course is one of best conditioned public courses I have played this year. It plays over very flat terrain, but has built up greens to provide character.
Great Value Great Muni
Nice greens and nicely mowed fairways. Water was at certain tee boxes if needed. Tee boxes had buckets for broken tees. Pace of play was a little slow but that can be expected. The clubhouse has some hats, golf balls, tees, glasses, clubs etc. there was water, Gatorade & pop available. Staff was very friendly and the golf pro Brent was willing to answer questions.
Beautiful conditions
Tremendous value. Course is in excellent condition. Rather flat but a nice layout.
Great course!
I love the course! The staff was good. The only draw back is no food or beverage service. The course is challenging enough for an avid golfer and very deceiving. It's wide open and very well maintained for a county course.
A course to play
I definitely recommend people to play this course. If you're looking for an easy golf course to play with your mates and have a good time, this should be the course to play. All worker's are very friendly and nice.
Great fairways and tee boxes very frustrating greens
Everything was in great shape and well kept. The only thing that disappointed was their greens. Very slow and not much break in anything. Easy putting which is good if you want to score well.
Great course for older players
The course was in good shape and the staff was very polite. Will go back.
Flat with no hazards
I can see why the Bay County Executives like this course.....it's a hacker's paradise. You can spray the ball all over and there's nary a water hazard or bunker to be found. The county is far too proud of this course....it plays short and VERY easy. The best things this course has going for it are the greens. They are very well taken care of and play fairly true. Overall, for the money you pay here you could find a more challenging and better course elsewhere.....but the county execs like to use it to boost their egos and make themselves look like pros :-)
Course was in good condition
The course is not hard if you hit it straight. Keep it out of the trees and you can score on this course. Green in really good condition. Fairways watered nicely with no bare spots. Could use yardage markers on the sprinkler heads and maybe something to show 100yds from center of green. White stakes are for 150yds to center of green, but that is not mentioned on the scorecard. Hole shows a "small pond" short and right of green when actually it is a large pond that unless you have played it before you will have no idea it is that big (went to lay up and ended up in "large pond". Otherwise nice course
This course is well maintained
This is a nice course...very well maintained. Many municipal courses are not to these standards. This course is a very flat course but can play rather long from the back tees. I hit the ball very bad today....but had nothing to do with the course. Very good deal for 16 bucks.
Super value, super course
Excellent course, just challenging enough, and very well maintained! A+!
Great greens and some nice doglegs!!
Course was in great shape after an inch of rain the day before our round. Doglegs make for some interesting tee shots. Staff care about their customers. We received three nine hole rain checks because of some slow players holding us up the last five holes.
Good buy for the money
Course is well maintained and the staff is great. We got there and hour early and was able to fill in for a late group. The starter was very flexible. Tee areas are flat and groomed well. Good definition between the roughs and fairways. Greens were smooth and very "puttable." Course is very women friendly and my wife also had a great day. Layout though fairly flat provides more than enough challenges especially from the tips.
Would recommend this course to anyone who wants to have an inexpensive, enjoyable round of golf near Bay City.
