Slow pace of play for a Monday; A lot of tall grass to lose your ball in.
Slow pace of play for a Monday, 4 to 5 hours as a single with a cart, too much waiting around. The starter told me to tee off early as he told me there was no one ahead of me for 30-40 min. I hit the beginning of the bottlenecks on the second hole and it lasted through the last hole. The guy ahead of me told me he was told the same thing by the Starter guy. It would have been a good experience if it wasn’t so slow, never saw any rangers on the course either. About the course, it was in good shape, more of a ball placement course, rather than pulling out the driver type of course. A lot of tall grass to lose your ball in all around the course, not a forgiving or recovery type of course.
Great Course; Easy play
This is a wonderful gold course. Not for the low handicappers; but great for beginners and old people. Mostly flat, except parts of the Gold course. Tee boxes and greens were some of the best that I've played this year. The fairways were in great shape, and the rough was very playable, not burned up like a lot courses. Pace of play was a little slow with a group of old guys, who kept hitting two balls, and a lot criss-crossing the fairways. Eventually they joined up with a group ahead of them, into a five-some. They finally let us pass on #8. Great course, will play again.
Course in great shape
First time playing Yankee Springs this year and I am impressed with the condition of the course. Greens were soft and yet medium fast and true. Fairways and roughs well cut. My only complaint is the super slow league that was four holes in front of me when I tees off. Caught them quickly and ended up with a 2-1/2 hour front nine. Back was more open and our foursome finished that in 1-3/4 hours.
Supreme value
This course is the best value in west Michigan by far. It’s an old school country-style place, not a link’s course; relatively easy and forgiving, but very well executed with great fairway, greens, bunkers and facility conditions. Lotsssss of high schoolers when I went that can be … frustrating for teenager reasons, but I can’t knock my review on the course presentation for that. Will def be back soon
This course is a great deal.
Course was in good shape. Grounds and clubhouse have been improved.
Fairways and greens are really good.the rough is pretty thick and hard to find a ball
