Poor service and overpriced
Overcharging for their scenic layout. Course conditions are below average and poor customer service are major detractors. Consider other options in the area rather than overpay for a place that doesn’t appreciate you or your business. Very disappointed.
Terrible customer service
guys have golfed here first weekend in Sept for 22 yrs. Clubhouse policy has changed this year and very unocomodating. After 18 holes and $1,000 paid between us, we tied our group event. With 18 more holes booked, we asked Gavin the clubhouse manager if we could play 1 hole for the tiebreaker and come back and play our 18 since 2 guys were leaving. He said it was owner Wes Anderson’s policy to not let people do that even though we were going to pay another $900 at 4 pm on a Sunday post Labor Day weekend. Blueberry Pines will not get our business again. Guess repeat business isn’t as important as a silly policy even when I asked to talk to the owner. I wasn’t given that option because Gavin had the final decision. Plus at 1 pm only 3 hot dogs for a supposed full course were an available and no other hot dogs on hand. Just bad business.
Never a Peaceful moment
Course conditions and layout were good. However, I've never experienced so much course worker interference/distraction. I literally didn't have one hole where I had peace and quiet due to mowers mowing or idling high near the green or tee box. All day it was machine engine noise and/or workers in line of sight etc almost in every hole I was playing, but if not it was adjacent. Couldn't believe I didn't have some pleasant nature stillness and peaceful environment!! Uffda
Horrible pace of play. No staff present to help pace. The group in front of us stopped at the turn for 20 minutes. Staff said nothing to them. Group in front of us drove next to greens on every hole. Drove up to greens on all par 3’s.
Clubhouse staff sat in a chair during check in. Totally inattentive. $49 dollar a round service. I paid $59 and checked rates hear for earlier in the day…way to high.
Need great service and water on the course to get what they want price wise. Restaurant always great.. expensive but good food. Golf staff very unprofessional and need training and supervision
Not Worth the Money
Was golfing with my 13 year old son, no junior rate. $200 for a round of golf for the two of us. The foursome I was playing with was golfing at a normal pace but we were waiting on every hole. This after teeing off 15 minutes after our scheduled tee time. Saw several course employees on the course but no one addressed the slow play. No beverage cart on a Saturday of Memorial Weekend- very disappointing, and nothing mentioned at check in. For the rate of golf I would also expect GPS on the carts, in fact the other cart in our group I had to push up hills for the last 3 holes. Decent course but closer to the $30-$40 range.
Slowest greens in the country
Greens are kept longer than my living room carpet. Need a driver to get through them. Doesn’t appear they care about the course any longer.
Great experience
This course is a must play when I am in the area. Conditions are always good, and the course is very well maintained. Pace of play was exceptional. Greens were a little slow, but very true and good to put. The entire course was in great shape.
This course layout is phenomenal.
Some of the fairways and greens need additional service but other than that, it’s a beautiful course!!
Great course in the pines. Challenging greens. Beauty abounds where ever you look. Great log style Clubhouse, Pro Shop, Lounge, and Resturant.
Blueberry Pines Golf Course is a gem in the woods. You won't be sorry to stop by a play this wonderful course in the North woods. Located about 10 miles south of Park Rapids along Hwy 71, the fist thing you will notice when you drive in the parking lot is a large, beautiful, majestic, log Club House. This will start your golfing day out with a smile and get bigger as you'll note the price is right! From the first tee shot, on hole one, to your last put on 18, your round would have been one big WOW! Don't miss stopping in at the lounge for refreshments or hang around for a great dinner! Golf will be great, hospitality fantastic, and thus you will leave with lasting memories of a great day of golf! As Mikey says, "try it, you'll like it"!
Beautiful scenery and location in the woods.
Lovely course and carts with GPS and scorecard screens. Great layout with plenty of rest rooms.
The greens were chewed up with what looked like inconsiderate golfers. A shame, since this is such a beautiful course...
Love this course
Play here once a year on annual family/friend vacation in area. Love this course. Great layout. Course is always in amazing shape.Highly recommend it .
fun course with great layout
This is one of my favorite courses in the area. It is not overly difficult if you keep the ball in the fairway, but there is plenty of trouble for errant shots. There are a few challenging greens and plenty sand traps and water. Very fun to play.
Golf in the Pines
Fun course with neat scenery of the trees. very good condition of fairways and greens. not a easy course, but not a killer either. one of my favorites in NW Mn lakes area.
Great course, GPS golf carts, challenging holes with variety
Blueberry Pines is easily in my top 2 courses in the Park Rapids / Walker area. The course is usually in great shape (although there is some remnants of the fire in the area still around). There's a solid variety of holes and this is a challenging course if you are not on your game. Highly recommended!
Beautiful setup with challenging and easy holes
The land is amazing, making for some great holes. The challenge is definitely there, requiring any golfer to hit a variety of shots. However, the tee boxes and fairways are not well maintained. The fairway grass is a little long for my taste and the tee boxes force you to have uneven stances. That said, the course is really "cool" and I will definitely be back.
