Course is Great
I have played this golf course numerous times this year already. I really do enjoy it. It has plenty of distance for long ball hitter. It has challenging holes. The greens are coming in really nice as well. There still hasn't been very many people on the course yet this year. I think the warmer it gets the more people will be playing. It is on a military base so credentials to enter the base will be required. I think this course is worth the time it will take to enter the base.
Course was in horrible shape. No grass on greens. Staff was wotking right in the middle of the fairways so you had to hit around them. Mowed grass clumps everywhere from lack of regular mowing.
You will need a temporary id from visitor center in order to get past the base entrance. Can’t just drive to course with out one.
So much better this season!
This course has so much potential for growth! Piney valley offers a fun experience for members and guests! The fairways and greens have played great this year! Shout out to Joe, Sonya, and Tony and staff for making this course one great place to play!
Tall grass, lots of knats and biting flies
Brakes did not work at all on the golf cart. We had to park sideways to keep the cart from rolling forward the whole 18 holes. Lots of bugs everywhere with knats in our face and eyes and biting flies on our legs.
