Great layout
I have played about 6 times on this course and I love it. The landscape if mostly flat with the hazards being mostly trees. I am 66 years old and female, and, while it is challenging I didn't get frustrated. The pro is very pleasant and accommodating.
Nice Course, Members not friendly.
One of the nicest courses in the area. A shame that most members do not welcome non-members. Played there a lot this year. If you bring your own cart you will mix in with the members. If you rent one of their carts, you will be targeted as an outsider. Our group is always very respectful of the rules and the course. We always, always let faster groups play through etc. We were approached by a member yelling at us thinking we started on the back nine after he called the clubhouse, which we didn't. Guess it is illegal to stop for a snack and soda on the turn. A few weeks later a group behind us called the clubhouse on us because we were playing too slowly. They had to wait for us to hit one shot because we got off the tee box poorly over the course of 12 holes. Must be nice to never have to wait on anybody to hit a shot all day. In their mind they had to wait more since they started right behind us on a par 5 after the turn. If you are a non member you will be expected to hit an approach shot, chip up, and putt a few times faster than they hit a drive and are ready to hit their approach shot.
I don't know why they don't make it a private club and be done with it, seems that is what the members want anyways. Make sure you have the clubhouse phone number handy to call in anything that doesn't suit your needs!
I will say we met one member that was very welcoming during one visit and offered to show us around. He was trying to get us to join. I would already be a member by now if it wasn't for the other members.
