Good lauout
Good layout. Good greens , terrible fairways, terrible tees
Very nice layout. Challenging holes. Nice greens. But fairways absolutely terrible. A real tragedy that such a potentially good course is ruined by bad fairways.
some of each
all of the greens were pristine
the front nine fairways a little rough
back nine great fairways and greens
a fun course with variations on each hole
No fairways.
I understand it was spring but there was essentially no fairways. The fairways were basically weeds and dirt. Best grass, other than long, was the rough.
Get it together
I booked a 10:30 tee time on golf now and the tee time was double booked. Their internet was down so cash was the only way to pay. The restrooms on the course were not open and when I asked I was told “we have had a lot of complaints about this.” The sand traps haven’t been fixed in years. We won’t be back.
Could be so much nicer.
Upon entering the pro shop to check in for our round, we were met by the most disinterested staffer that I have come in contact with for a very long time.
The course itself has what could be a fun layout with areas of character and challenge. It currently has little of either. The ground keeping crew is either terribly understaffed or poorly trained. There is little demonstrable difference between the rough and fairways. Neither of which had been cut in quite some time.
We were left with the impression that course ownership/management is very much taking their membership for granted.
Not worth the drive
Incredibly unfriendly staff at check in. No discernible differentiation between the fairways and rough. Greens are in nice shape and hold approach shots very well.
Poor signage on course to direct first time users to the next tee box location.Multiple confusing approaches to greens locations for first time users. This course does not merit a long drive to experience a “different” course in the Lake of the Ozarks area that has so many better options.
Sell!
I was sad to see the shape of this golf course and how far down the conditions have deteriorated.
The tee boxes and fairways are mostly dirt, while the greens are still somewhat maintained.
Try watering, seeding and picking-up broken tees on the tee boxes.
This used to be a neat course to play, but no more.
Don’t be fooled by the on-line pictures.
If you can’t maintain or don’t want to, please sell to someone who will.
