Bill Roberts Municipal Golf Course

I was in town for my dad’s 77 birthday and wanted to get a round in with him, it had been awhile. The course is in great shape, the greens are speedy and challenging and the pace was perfect. The clubhouse is great too, 2 golf simulators, a well stocked pro shop, and a good kitchen. I didn’t get it but they had a deal for range balls and lunch for $16…that is awesome. Will be back next time I am in town.

Enjoyable day on this golf course and would highly recommend playing. Will definitely play again next time we’re in the area. Till then Adios and keep up the good work.

I didn’t even play the course. I showed up an hour early, checked in, check in again 10 minutes before my tee time, walked in to ask what was going on when it was already 15 minutes after my tee time. My greeting when I walked into the club house was, “What’s going on?” As if I hadn’t been in twice already. I was fed up by then and told them to keep my green fee and I left. I would never come back. One of my worst experiences at a golf course.

Hit this course while passing through and it was very enjoyable playing. A little slow to start but paced to a good round. Fairways and greens were in great conditions

No marshals so players go where they want, play as slow as they want, violat course rules all the time, but other than that good course

I have played here for years. Only because we are kind of limited to amount of courses here. Since Covid the superintendent has decided no water jugs on the course anymore, no ball washers, Whoever changes pin placement and tee markers has no idea how to set them up.....pace of play is crap. It's based on 2:15 per nine. So it is common for slow players to have 3 to 4 groups backed up behind them. Ridiculous. No marshals to make people pick up the pace. But hey! Rates are the only item that keep going up! Amenities continue down.....

Great condition, friendly staff, great location and has the feeling of a civic treasure.

The course was great, and challenging for a guy new to golf. The only thing I would recommend or improve is what information is sent over from Tee Off to the course as they weren’t tracking that payment had been made and the fees included a cart. The staff had none of this data. In the end, it worked out but if there could be some improvement on that, it would be appreciated.

Have played here for years. Used to be one of the better muni's in the state. Over the last 5 or 6 years on course amenities have disappeared (water jugs, ball washers ). Superintendent is lazy, says its too much work to fill the ball washers and water jugs. Yet rates keep going up. Also pace of play has always sucked. Golfers who are slowing groups behind them do not let u play through. There haven't been marshals on this course for sometime and even when there were as long as the groups were playing at a 2:07 pace for 9 holes regardless of how many groups were piled up behind them, it was fine. Wish we had another course for competition. Also due to no marshals people are violating local rules, 2 people playing out of one bag, fivesomes during open play....driving carts where not allowed. NO ENFORCEMEMT OF ANY OF THEIR RULES!

This course was a nice course to play as we traveled through the area, not too easy not too hard. Staff was nice. Pace of Play was slow but a local we talked to said he plays the course on a regular basis and never saw it as backed up; must have been a fluke.

Grass still recovering from winter but glad to be golfing again

Really good course in great condition. Greens were true and pretty fast. Very well maintained course! No bad holes and an easy walk. Driving range had good grass to hit off, but they do need some new range balls. Only wish is that the course was a bit longer in length but overall this is a great track for the money.
