Overall great course but staff was a little late getting us started for the 7 AM tee time.
Good course, poorly ran
Pretty good course, and in really good shape. Unfortunately staff had no interest in even talking, while checking in. We didn't even get a hello, hi, good morning, nothing, when we got there. I told them who I was and got no response. I had already paid online. I asked about keys for the carts and got a nod of the head, among the 2 young girls, more interested in their phones. There are no trashcans on the course, so there was empty beer cans, empty ball boxes and just random trash everywhere. Unfortunately we got behind 2 different very slow and loud foursomes on the front and back nines.
Fun Local Course
First time playing the course. I liked the layout and the speed of the greens for late November. I will play again if I have the opportunity.
You should play this one.
I paid $16 for 18 and a cart using my Big Red Golf pass.
I have not played this course in quite awhile and it didn't disappoint. While this course isn't long, it provides plenty of challenges any all skill levels. #1 will provide plenty of uneven lies, #4 is a dogleg left with little room for error. #7 requires a blind t shot. #9 is a par three with an elevated tee to a narrow green.#11 is a dogleg right par 5 with a big cottonwood right in the middle of the fairway. 14 is a long par 4 with no room right or left.
The course sits right next to Johnson Lake and its camp ground, so it great for a weekend of golf.
This course is a beautiful course with tough and fast greens
I highly recommend.
This is a fine course that is not challenging and offers opportunity to score. I love the layout. The heat has taken a toll on the course, some of the Greens were a little rough, but this is a course that gets a lot of play. I like the par threes to end both the front and the back. Would definitely recommend.
Course has healed nicely
I had played this course early in the year and the greens were in terrible shape. They have done a lot of work and except for a few spots, they have done some real good work. There has been a lot of rain in the area lately so the fairways are in terrific shape.
This course was hard hit by winter kill. There are three greens that are in terrible shape and one that has been turned into a temporary green. Fairways are in great shape. The course sit down below a dam embankment so the wind is not too much of a factor. It was a fun course to play, but the condition of the greens will last until at least next year.
