Still hidden gem ?
Greens in great shape this year .grouped with 2 to go out early , good guys . We flew through coarse in 4 hrs starting at 845.
Finished 18 , driving past 10 tee , 3 group backup.
We had at times a 4 hole gap behind us . Need a ranger out there to push some groups .
Overall
Course staff was excellent.
Very welcoming and courteous.
Sand rake ??
Conditioning could be better - sand traps are never raked a lot of dead grass areas.. but it is very challenging that’s why I play there..please take the bunkers ..
A reasonable greens fee for an average public course
For a public course that only cost $50 including cart for 18 holes, it was a good deal, and we were not expecting PGA conditions. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in good condition, but anything outside those areas was mainly solid dirt.
if I was in the area, I would play this course again because the pace was good. The value was very good and we enjoyed the day.
Getting better but still needs more
Course has come along over the last couple of years, but please replace the flag sick’s everyone of them look like drunken sailors. Also a lot of bare areas around the greens and hard packed bunkers.
Great - aside from the extra fees
Greens were semi-well kept. Food at the bar was decent. What got me was the extra fees they tacked on at the course. We pre-paid through golf now and we were unable to play until we paid extra fees. This would have been fine, but there was no indication of that until we had shown up.
Packed as packed can get!!!
I made my tee time on Friday for Sunday at 2:00PM. When I checked in at the pro shop the lady told me she was by herself the starter was busy emptying trash cans. She said grab a cart from the barn and go out when your ready. There was 1 group on the green, 1 in the fairway and 1 on the tee box. Right behind them there were 6 groups of 4 waiting to tee off. So I went off the 10th tee. I quickly caught a log jam of player's. I've never seen a golf course so crowded before in my life. This was on a sunny Sunday afternoon. No starter, no ranger and no beverage cart person. The only reason I play this course is because it's 5 minutes from my house. This is a municipal course and nobody knows how to run it
Almost there ☆☆☆☆
Great course. Loved the layout. Friendly staff.
The only thing I would suggest is getting the greens in good shape. And it is not just the groundskeepers. But maybe some signage to golfers to repair ball marks on greens. Also replace the crappy looking flags.
For the groundskeepers , I would suggest keeping rough areas more trimmed. Let players find their balls to keep pace of play up.
Other than that great course. Especially to be so nearby to south jersey beach towns.
You're almost there
Very nice course. Just a wee bit away from being really very nice. On an ametuer course i would suggest keeping all rough trimmed enough to find balls so there's no time wasted on people searching for their ball. Also the flags look like crap. And maybe put out some signeage for golfers to repair ball marks on greens and replace divets , etc.
Like I said you're almost there. Nice place.

What extras. I play this course often and book all my times through golf now and have never had to pay anything else.Sounds fishy to me.
