Holland Hills Country Club

About
Located in the Southtowns of WNY between Holland and Colden, Holland Hills Country Club is less than a half hour from Buffalo. The golf course sits atop the highest point in Erie County. From its lofty perch, the elevated tees offer views that stretch across acres of rolling countryside. The championship layout features a variety of challenges including tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and strategically placed sand traps. There are also a few sharp doglegs to watch out for. It's the many elevation changes though, which can range from subtle to dramatic, that are the true test of this golf course. Be prepared for several tricky uphill, downhill, and sidehill lies. From the tips, Holland Hills Country Club is quite formidable but multiple sets of tees make it more player friendly for all skill levels.

Holland Hills
The owner obviously is running this place into the ground. I got greeted & yelled at 20 minutes after my arrival. Sat in the club house for 20 minutes & there were no worker's to be found Greens are in terrible condition. They are basically trampolines. The owner should sell it or just leave. Terrible experience
Priced right
For the price it’s a great deal ,the greens are large ( maybe a bit slow) but they run true ,the layout is just ok but the workers go out of their way to make you feel wanted. I’ll go there again
Holland Hills
3rd time playing here.. Narrow fairways and slow greens. Several blind shots. No Styrofoam in cup. The counter guy very friendly. Kitchen isn't open on Monday. Probably won't be back even though it's a nice ride from grand island. Price was right using golfnow site.
Ho Hum
Used to play here all the time. Layout is just mundane. Golf carts are ancient, no windshields or rain hoods and kept backfiring. At one point thought it would die and I'd be left lugging the bag! At least the greens were in good shape & price was right.
decent golf course but needs some work
The price is cheap. The course is in decent condition. Its in a nice setting with some good views of the surrounding countryside and lots of undulations which make it interesting. The problems are with the infrastructure. The cart paths are pot holed and falling apart. Would really help if they were gritted rather than old crumbling pavement. That leads to my second issue which is the really beat up golf cart. The suspension was totally gone. The cart required a great degree of management as the steering was pretty gone too. Probably a result of driving over those cart paths. Some investment would really improve the experience. The course was a little soggy in places due to the deluge of rain that happened maybe a couple of days back so we tried to stay as near to the paths as we dared.
Played off the blue tees (12 handicapper) while my 22 year old played off the white. He's a beginner and we had fun on the course, it kept things pretty even out there. The golf was fun, quick (we got round in 3.15hrs). We'll go again as its perfect for our golfing experience combination and he doesn't . want to be watched by others as he learns the game.
A course that makes you think
This course works water into many of the holes. And some of the water is put to make you decide if you wanna pull a Driver on 3 Wood off the tee. The roughs are tough and think, so you wanna make sure you find the fairway which are well taken care of.
Good Bang for the Buck
$25 for 18 with a cart is a good deal. Course is well-maintained and pace of play is never an issue. This course is always in my rotation. If it’s posted for $15 for 18 w/ cart if you don’t jump on it, I will
Enjoyable
Hidden gem in WNY golf!
Nice course with a variety of holes, some short and some long and challenging. A few blind shots but overall a very enjoyable round!
Golf
Great course. When ever I am back home I always play here.
Holland Hills 2018
Friendly staff, nice long course, semi-challenging with good paced greens. I would definitely play again.
Great course for price but...
I’ve played at this course a few times. Usually it is mowed and cared for really well, but for some reason it wasn’t mowed as well as it could’ve been. Still had a great round. Also, the cart paths could be re-done.
Fast and Friendly Staff
With the exception of the rough being kept a little too long, the course is in good condition. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. We had a flat on our gold cart and we were brought out a replacement within 5 minutes. Recommend this course.
Great Value
Typical links style course with nice hills. Course will play better once it dries out.
