BEND, Ore. -- Widgi Creek Golf Club, located just a couple miles from Tetherow Golf Club in central Oregon, is a tight shotmaker's course designed by Robert Muir Graves.
Opened in 1991, this semi-private club should be part of the rotation for anyone planning a golf vacation to the area. This 6,905-yard, par-72 Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary course has plenty of tough holes and lots of character.
One of the more difficult holes is the short par-3 fifth, which has a difficult green that wraps around four pines affectionately known as the "Widgi Pines." There are plenty of other challenging holes as well, including a variety of par 5s like the 600-yard 17th hole.
In addition to the golf, there's a driving range, practice facilities, full-service restaurant, bar and well-stocked golf shop.
