Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course in Alberta, Canada

Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course is located in Alberta's Canadian Rockies and in Jasper National Park, the country's largest and northernmost national park and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The golf course was designed in 1925 by Canadian architect Stanley Thompson, who just a few years later would go down the road and build Banff Springs as well. Jasper Park holds every bit as much of intrigue as Banff, with a splendid collection of holes. Wildlife is abundant here, so much so a fence is needed to keep the critters out.

Jasper Park Lodge Golf Course's finishing holes play around Lac Beauvert, including the very challenging tee shot on the 14th hole that requires a carry over the lake and around trees. Local rules, according to the pro shop, state that if you hit two into the lake here you have to buy steak burgers for your foursome. Don't worry, there's plenty of room right.
