Not much to dread at historic Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando, Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A favorite among locals, Dubsdread Golf Course, located just minutes from downtown Orlando, was built in 1924 and renovated in 2008. Owned by the city, the course has played host to many amateur and professional events over the years. Players like Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and Babe Zaharias have walked the fairways.

Although this par 70 is just 6,153 yards, narrow fairways and small greens make it challenge even for the best players. There's water on about half the holes and bunkers are found both in the fairways and around the greens.

Amenities at Dubsdread include single-rider GolfBoards, a lighted driving range and an expansive short-game and putting area.

In addition golfers and non-golfers alike can enjoy one of the best dining experiences in the Orlando area at the Tap Room Restaurant at Dubsdread, which opened in the fall of 2001.
