Hotel Casa Velas and Velas Vallarta

This is a course that if you love golf and you have some free time go for it, if not you might not enjoy it. If it's your first time make sure to hire a caddy.

This course was ‘Fantastic’ with a capital F!

Scenic vistas on every hole.

Go off the fairway and 90% chance you’ve lost your ball.

Range and greens were well maintained in great condition.

We played Christmas Eve. When we got to the course we were told by cashier in the pro shop that the course was closing at 4.30pm, with our tee time at 2.30, we weren’t going to make even 9.

Fortunately for us we talked to the starter and they said they would wait for us to finish.

Brilliant job guys.

The course was in great condition. Greens ran fairly quick and fair.

I rented the “premium” clubs and well they weren’t premium but in reasonable condition.

The staff were great and we had a nice day. It was expensive but that’s fairly normal for México. Based on the other courses in the area I would recommend this course.

I played both the Nicklaus and the Weiskopf course this week.

It was an amazing experience to have played such a beautiful course with my two sons.

They both go to college in the US, so we traveled from Perth Australia, to spend Christmas with them. (First time in 3 years).

We all enjoy golf and these two courses were by far the best we have ever played.

Only downside is what I think is the outrageous cost. Even with GolfNow deal close to $500 AU for three players. Not something I can do everyday day, but the memory will last a long time.

Lots of water and crocodiles on the front and a little more forgiving on the back.

Challenging course in many aspects but still very enjoyable. Sand traps were a bit thin on sand which would be my only complaint. ProShop attendants very friendly. Great selection of beverages on course and at the clubhouse. Going back to play the other course tomorrow.

The pace of play was very slow. There were people ahead of us that have never played golf before. The Fairways are in terrible shape. Our overall experience between slow play, no help from the staff. And poor condition of the fairways. This course is definitely not worth the money we paid..

Lovely course, with interesting greens, gorgeous waterways and attractive par threes. I liked the men's locker rooms which had nice shower facilities. Rossi, my caddie, was a fantastic guide around the course and gave me some great tips. This course is truly a gem - a jungle Paradise in the middle of a city. Oh, and lots of crocodiles, turtles and tropical birds!

We had a 7:50 tee time . No waiting the group ahead of us were on a nice pace. So that we never had to wait. The grass was wet but what would you expect. They water at nigh the same as every other course..

We tee off at 7:40 tomorrow morning.

Was pleasantly surprised.witb how nice the course was. I have played in Puerto Vallarta in the past and to date this was the best so far. Canceled my next reservation at another course to.come back and play the Vista Nicklaus course instead.

Will never play this course again . Absolutely a rip off . Course was in very bad condition .

This was an average course and should be priced as such. $40-$50, not what we paid over $100.

Do not play this course for the prices they advertise . It was a disaster for what we paid . Over $125 usd and the course was in terrible condition . No one was on the course . It is one and done for us . Rather play Vidanta . Course value is about $35-40 dollars .

Mowed. Grass everywhere. Terrible greens. Nothing like the photos.
