Hotel Casa Velas and Velas Vallarta

We love the Marina course. The greens were great. The course in pristine condition. But the staff are the best. Super nice folks with a long history of golf service. Love to play here even though it’s tough. Bring a few extra balls for the water and the jungle.

My wife and I played the Vista Weiskoph course for the first time and it was amazing. It was set up nicely for my 15 handicap and I was able to break 100. My wife plays forward and she did quite well.

The fairways and greens were pristine with staff busily mowing and manicuring the course. It rained the night before so a few of the bunkers were a wash. I really like the staff from bag drop, pro shop, starter, beverage cart and right to the gentleman that met us after 18 to help us load up. Super nice!

We will be back.

The course never disappoints it takes a minute to get there but well worth the trip. I recently went to Cabo and played these courses are way better. The only negative was the greens but the girl at the clubhouse let me know they would be like that beforehand

All the greens have severe dead areas due to what appears to be grass fungus. Putting impossible.

Great course with challenging layout. Only complaint is many of the greens were “burned”

Brown patches covering 1/2 the green on several holes.

Course was great, staff ,food and ease of getting a taxis was also great. Only complaint was the greens were a bit slow and bumpy, looks like they are dealing with a fungus problem. Pretty awesome to chip up on the green with a 4 foot iguana walking across! Worth the play

Excellent staff, very helpful and welcoming. The only thing was the greens are horrible, recently punched. Would have liked to known that before booking.

This course and the Weiskopf Course are beautiful. Not terribly difficult. The rough was highly grown and the greens were recently shaved which added some difficulty. Great layout. Great value and so much fun. The pro shop ladies were not friendly but the bartenders were extremely friendly. We'll be back.

The course was closed due to rain that morning. We booked online with our contact information provided and did not receive a call or email to inform us they were closed. It cost us $60 round trip from the resort we stayed.

If you are to play any course in PVR, play Jack. The views are tremendous. The course's layout is inviting. A wonderful experience all around.

I really liked the Nicklaus Course. We played Weiskopf on Tuesday. They are both great courses.

Fun course with generous fairways (usually) and scenic jungle views. Greens were slow and a little bumpy, with some kind of thin lines on them which acted like grain. Not sure if this was from aeration or what, but it affected speed greatly. Par 3s were all really good. Reviews suggested the Vista Vallarta courses would be a better option than the Greg Norman Vidanta course; I am guessing these holes had more variety and elevation than Vidanta but I suspect better conditions would be found at Vidanta: besides the greens, bunkers were not well maintained, combination of hardpan and wet sand. Rain from night before was likely cause here but still could have been better. Overall decent value for the money and it was a fast, fun round

I played with my wife who is a beginner but we had a great time because it is the slow season and we played after 1:30 which is the twilight rate. A little hot but fun. We are playing the Nicklaus course today.

The course was challenging due to the windy conditions. When I went there were making improvements to the course and was not informed prior to going via email nor was it posted on their site. We got to go play the first nine holes twice to make up for the remaining course.

I am an avid golfer and have played man of golf courses.

Awesome layout! From Tee Box to Green! It was a great experience, everyone was welcoming m, friendly and willing to help!
