Course layout was straight forward. A few dog legs definitely call for course management. Sneaky how trees move into flight path of ball! Course was a bit dry, but greens were fast and true. Traps had pretty course sand and caused a few issues with grains scattered across greens. Check your path before your putt.

Rental clubs were adequate, Callaway, TM. Bring a towel clean your grips and hands.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of choices in pro shop. Played twilight and both of us got around course in just over 2.5 hours. Kudos to gentlemen allowing us to play through. Nice to be on the course in December!

The course is in good shape as usual. Wide forgiving fairways but undulating greens make it difficult for good scores unless you hit your approach shots on the correct side and level.

DO NOT RENT CLUBS HERE. THEY WERE TOTAL GARBAGE. NOTHING LIKE WHAT WAS ON DISPLAY IN THE CLUBHOUSE. COURSE IS AVERAGE BUT FUN SCENERY AND WILDLIFE.

Wonderful course. I’ve been coming back to VV over the last 10+ years. Course is strategic and challenging enough for a high single digit player. Staff is extremely friendly (shout out to Daniela in the pro shop and Luis the friendly attendant). As a vacation course, it’s not exactly a bargain, but the afternoon prices are reasonable. Pace of play is pretty much dependent on you. We always played in the afternoon and never had a group in front of or behind us- although I notice a lot of players finishing up or making the turn when I arrive at 11:30 each day. Bunkers and tee boxes and greens are in great condition. This review also serves for the Nicklaus course (3 rounds on each course over 6 days)

This is a challenging layout in the mountains, but in the afternoon I got a great rate and the course was nearly empty. The practice facilities are very good. I spent an hour practicing and 3 hours for my round. I wish all golf was similarly timed!!

Play thus at least twice a season

One of my favorite courses. Most holes are unique in design. Not too long but deceptively difficult to avoid a double bogey (or two!). More fun than sister Nicklaus Course. Both have excellent practice facilities. Well worth the trip up into the mountains!!

You cannot relax and take any hole for granted. Danger lurks in every fairway and surrounding each green (I’m not referring to the crocodiles!). Greens are relatively small and well bunkered. There is enough water to claim a ball or two. So even though the course distance is not daunting, I challenge most readers to try to break 80 on this course!

I bought a michelada around the 7 hole the price was 95 pesos and i bought another one at 12 hole, my surprise was that the cart beverage lady said was 115, I asked why ahe told me that her peer who attend the front 9 holes charge me wrong price. It’s not the 20 pesos which is 1 dollar. But create confusion in the service and looka like they charge what ever they want.

But the club is great, the aervice great….

Probably the most overpriced golf course I have ever played.

We have been golfing here for over 20 years every year. I was surprised to see how much it cost this time. Much more than previously. The golf cart were dirty too. The food is amazing. A little give-and-take and it turns out to be a nice day
