Only affordable course in Cabo
The mandatory $25 per person food and beverage charge is a joke! They are not Puerto Las Cabos with high end cocktails and amazing fresh prepped food at their stations. They charge $25- you visit the comfort stations 4 times per round! This course is also very dry right now and each green has a different speed. We’re only playing it because we’re priced out of every other course here now with non popping up on Golf Now.
Good Value
2nd time playing this course - and scheduled again next week. Good value for this area. Great friendly staff, good food and a fun course!
Great Value
A great experience- played the 9 twice. Price included cart, food and drinks. Will play again.
Lovely 9 holes
Staff are super friendly and helpful. Fun course, found out there's a WC on hole 5.
Vacation
Their computer system had difficulties with the Golf Pass reservation. other than that the Staff was great, the course and rentals were outstanding. The Staff went the extra mile for everything.
Mexican golf
Golfing prices in Mexico are outrageous.
Though overpriced for a 9 hole course it’s the best deal around.
Depends what you are looking for
Very much like a muni course. Best value in Los Cabos, but you get what you pay for—-you play nine holes twice and this is not an ocean or desert Nicklaus designed course. With that said, the average golfer will like this course. They do make an effort to keep the pace of play going, which was very much appreciated. 3:55 for 18 holes.
Good course for the money
Nice course with good pace of play and decent amenities. Staff was very friendly.
Excellent little course
Tough pin locations. Don’t expect to come in with you two handicap and eat this little gem up. It is tough putting, firm greens and plenty of waste bunker lies.
Mandatory food and drink value
We have played this course many times. We have no problem with the mandatory food and drink fee. What we have a problem with is the decreased value of that option. The beer option is Tecate reg or light. The snacks are now a little bag of maybe 10-15 small pretzels they packaged. We saw the drink cart twice in 18 holes.
Here’s everything you need to know
We decided to play Vidante after seeing the low price on Golf Now ($50 hot deal) compared to all the other resort courses ($300 morning, $160 twilight). You are required to pay an additional $25 once you get there to cover some food and beverage (so our round was $75 total). This is what you get for your extra $25 fee: unlimited beer and mediocre mixed drinks. Unlimited tiny snacks (equivalent to airplane snacks). Free tacos at the turn (delicious). I would say overall worth the extra $25, the cart girl came by every three holes or so, so we were never without drinks.
Course: it’s a 9 hole course (3-par 3s, 5-par 4s, 2-par 5s). You play the 9 holes twice to make 18. We opted to play blacks the first 9 and blues the second 9 to mix it up a little.
Course quality: eh… warm up area is a chipping/putting green and the “driving range” is two tee boxes hitting into a net. The course itself was definitely not good. But it wasn’t bad either. It reminded us of a mediocre city course back home. Grass was ok, greens were ok, views and overall feel were ok. It’s in the middle of town, It was loud with cars driving by, closed in with houses/condos all around. There were 1-2 holes where you could “kinda” see the ocean from afar. And only 1 hole that I would call “beautiful” (#8, par 3 by the pond). Would I pay $75/round for a mediocre city course back home… no.
Staff: the cart girl was amazing!!! pretty much everyone else was rude and seemed stressed and rushed us through (Even the taco guy at the turn) It was busy and all the golfers were standing around trying to figure out what was going on, where to get your cart, your drinks, your food, where to warm up, where to start. And no one was real helpful. On the course we kept getting reminded to pick up the pace of play, but it was so busy and backed up there was no way to do this. So we just drank and mostly ignored them.
Would I golf here again?: No probably not. We chose to golf here because it was over half the price of anywhere else. But $75 is still pricey for a mediocre city course. It didn’t feel like we were in Cabo golfing. I’m glad we saved money, but I wish I got a better afternoon experience of golf.
Overall I left feeling I wish I would have spent another $100 and got a beautiful course with views of the ocean and felt like I was really getting a great Cabo golf experience.
Great value
The course is keen to expose a need for local knowledge. Each hole demands a precise approach and par is a very good score. Knowing where to drive the ball can improve chances of making par.
The course is drier than those demanding 250-350 per round but has a flavour you keep coming back for. Besides where else do you get two chances to get it right on every hole in one round!
Affordable Cabo golf
We always enjoy this course. 9 holes and you play it twice. Delicious tacos included on the turn. Beer also included.
Awesome amenities
The course it self is challenging and in pretty good shape, lots of sand areas . Seems to be very reasonable priced compared to other courses in the area! The best part is the staff are very friendly, attentive and always filling up your cooler with drinks and snacks. The tacos were even delicious as part of your golf experience!
