The Grand Mayan and Mayan Palace - Vidanta Puerto Penasco

This Nicklaus course is with no doubt one of the best golf courses I have ever played in my life and one the best if not the best that I have played in Mexico. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed playing there. Thanks!

This is one of the top 5 courses in Mexico. As good as any of the Cabo at 1/2 the price and easier travel (only 5 hours from Palm Springs and 4 from Phoenix. The course condition is only matched by the views. Very interesting doglegs and elevated greens. Great practice facility, also. The young golf pro Ivan Cueva (formerly of Cozumel Country Club) is a gracious host! Ask him to join you for a round or even a few holes. We stayed at the Mayan Palace on the property which was very convenient and well appointed.

This course is a gem hidden from the public. Discovered it staying at Mayan Place in Puerto Penasco. One of the top rated courses available on-line.

I had the pleasure to Playa the Vidanta course at Puerto Penasco December 4th to the 9th 2016. 3 buddies and I played 5 rounds. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect. This being said the course is a challenge. Most of the holes have ample driving room but once you get to the green you have to hit a good shot. The greens are raised with false fronts on many. You need to pick a spot in the middle of the green and aim for that for best results. We played the white tees and at 6300+ yards that was more than enough of a challenge. The course is on an incredible piece of land located on a peninsula between the Sea of Cortez and an estuary. The practice facilities are excellent as well as the Pro Shop and Restaurant.

Ivan the general manager was very helpful along with his pro shop staff. On the course we were very well attended to by Yasmin who does a great job on the beverage cart. I plan on taking a group of friends back again someday soon!

The course is beautiful but the staff especially the mgr Eduardo Cueva totally lack ofcustmer service our tee time was at 12.00 but we had asityation that we had to depart earlier from Puerto Penasco so we asked him if we could start 30 mins early the course wa empty noone was pkaying and he said no because golfnow didn't pay them ehen we got to the parking lot nobody to receive our clubs golf carts old no ice

This will be a top 100 destination in the upcoming years. Turf is outstanding, tour championship design, layout, and challenge! Pros will be challenged here! Several ocean view holes, magnificent and majestic views!

We play here every winter. The course is fantastic.Very punishing if you are not in the fairways. The views are incredible as you play along the ocean. Its not to be missed if you visit Penasco. Although the rate is $195., we play for the resident fee of $65. That is an incredible value.

This is the best course I have ever played. I absolutely loved it, I can't wait to go back.

I enjoyed this more than Bandon Dunes. I highly recommend this course. Only issue was our cart broke down, but they were out there immediately with a new cart.
