The Grand Mayan and Mayan Palace - Vidanta Puerto Penasco

First time playing this course. It is a very challenging course. I am 70+ so I usually play white tees, but on this course I did not have the length. Joined up with a lady who plays there regularly and she alerted me to some of the pitfalls, but this is a course that needs GPS on the carts, especially for those playing it for the first time. My playing partner said they did have them at one time. Got a good deal from GolfNow, but had to pay extra for range balls. Good range - nice grass and unlimited balls, but on most high end courses, this is usually included. Did not eat at the restaurant, but heard good reviews. Friendly staff. Other than the fact that it beat me up, I enjoyed it. There was little wind and I was told it can get very windy and I don't think I could play it on one of those days.

They advertise to be rated in top 20 in the world, and I agree. We have played many top courses and this was beautifully groomed, challenging (although forward tees could accommodate any level player), and we had the place to ourselves. Much better than other courses in Rocky Point, and I can't wait to return!

The course is very well-maintained. And it was a heck of a price. Windy, so you had to adjust your shots. But fair. Undulating greens which I believe Is a Nicklaus trademark. I'm at 13 handicap and was proud to shoot 90 from the white tees.

one of my favorite cousre to play. You need to be on your game and ball palcment is very import here. Bring some extra balls you may need them. Love to play any time I can.

Beautiful course, not so friendly cashier, very friendly player services, cart broke on 13th hole, replaced quickly, wind was a play factor.

Best course Iv'e golfed in 3 years.

I'm an ex golf professional and have played all over the United States, from Bandon Dunes to the Sandhills in Nebraska. This place is a must play. Great staff, great food, and a unbelievable golf course. I would highly recommend this place to everyone! It's very challenging but fair. Don't miss out on this great experience in Puerto Peñasco!

Book on Golfnow.com rather then thru the Mayan Palace. Found the "Hot Deal" at $32.00. However, the course is well worth the regular rate.

If the beauty of this Oceanside course isn't enough to blow you away, the pristine fairways, immaculate greens and undulating slopes are just some of the adjectives you can use to describe this course. The staff was above and beyond friendly, and the clubhouse was worthy of a private club. Even the in course washrooms were beautiful, and nicer than most the restaurant bathrooms in town. We played as a twosome and rarely saw anyone else on the course. It was as if we were the only one out there. The sparkling ocean made it hard to keep your eyes on the golf. Some of the holes along the ocean felt surreal. Like this is something you only see in a magazine. We got a Golfnow hot deal price of $35 and would easily have paid $200 to play this gem of a course. This course is one of the most undiscovered & incredibly challenging courses that you will play. Even if your golf is not up to scratch that day, then the.views of the mountains, Sonoran Desert & the Sea of Cortez with dolphins & other sea life, will definitely give you a sense of calm. This is one of the most beautiful courses I have played. The staff in & around the pro shop are exemplary. I have been coming here for five years & it never gets old.

Golf course and driving range are always keep up nice and employees treat me like their family with smile.

I am one of the lucky ones who live close by so play this course almost every day in 7 month but the golf course makes me humble.

This is a world class course value staff all fantastic if in the area don't miss!!! Worth making a special trip to Puerto Penasco yes!! But please tee off after 10 so u don't slow me down !!! First timers will be taking some photos!!! It would easily be in top ten in the state of Az!!

If you are into golf this is a must play course! If you're looking for a Great design, fantastic views, superb conditions and very little play, this is it. As good as any course in Cabo and I've played most of them. At about 1/3 the price.

This Nicklaus course is with no doubt one of the best golf courses I have ever played in my life and one the best if not the best that I have played in Mexico. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed playing there. Thanks!

This is one of the top 5 courses in Mexico. As good as any of the Cabo at 1/2 the price and easier travel (only 5 hours from Palm Springs and 4 from Phoenix. The course condition is only matched by the views. Very interesting doglegs and elevated greens. Great practice facility, also. The young golf pro Ivan Cueva (formerly of Cozumel Country Club) is a gracious host! Ask him to join you for a round or even a few holes. We stayed at the Mayan Palace on the property which was very convenient and well appointed.

This course is a gem hidden from the public. Discovered it staying at Mayan Place in Puerto Penasco. One of the top rated courses available on-line.

I had the pleasure to Playa the Vidanta course at Puerto Penasco December 4th to the 9th 2016. 3 buddies and I played 5 rounds. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect. This being said the course is a challenge. Most of the holes have ample driving room but once you get to the green you have to hit a good shot. The greens are raised with false fronts on many. You need to pick a spot in the middle of the green and aim for that for best results. We played the white tees and at 6300+ yards that was more than enough of a challenge. The course is on an incredible piece of land located on a peninsula between the Sea of Cortez and an estuary. The practice facilities are excellent as well as the Pro Shop and Restaurant.

Ivan the general manager was very helpful along with his pro shop staff. On the course we were very well attended to by Yasmin who does a great job on the beverage cart. I plan on taking a group of friends back again someday soon!
