The third, a dogleg left of 376, typifies most of the holes on this course: not long, but challenging in other ways. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Seven ( # 3 index) seems like one of the best par-4’s in Connecticut. This photo doesn’t reveal just how tough it is to make a par here. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 07/13/2022

Management greed
We avoided this course for the last part of the Summer as the pace of play and lack of Ranger made it a maddening experience.
We have voiced our concerns to management that fall on deaf ears. So on a warm day in Nov we tried it again. A frost has pushed back Tee times 1 hr 1/2, not under Managements control. But in this day and age how about an email or warning of the delay.
Our 1210 tee time was pushed till 1pm. With carts due in by 4 and the back log of foursomes management knew dam well there was no chance of completing our round. Yet they took full price anyway!
The starter told us that it has been the most profitable season ever with packed in Tee times every day.
So complaining gets you no where, and its a shame, as the greens are in excellent shape the staff is friendly and was doing their best to get golfers out. To include the hackers. Which do not belong on this course with No Rangers to assist.
I guess i have to remember this is a City owned course. Regardless management cares little about the spirit pf the game and more about lining their pockets.
Norwich Golf Course
It was fabulous!! Great shape, no wait times, super friendly staff!! All in all, a great day!!!!!
Slow Play
Have played this course before and slow play is common. They need bring back a thing from the past, “ RANGERS “ to keep play moving at a reasonable pace.
Meh
General course conditions were somewhat average, the greens though were real good. All greens here are virtually the same size and circular which was kinda of a bummer.
Overall its a solid muni course, right down the road from Mohegan Sun. For the money it’s worth playing.
Fairways were thin sporty grass. Cut short. No carpet there for sure. Many dry areas away from the fairway.
Don’t know
What they did to the fairways. They are not like they were a month ago. I don’t think it is just fall.
They may have been serrated but they were cut too short.
Great place to play.
Alway an enjoyable round. People are nice. Good service. Course is in great condition.
Slow day
Not a bad golf course.Staff inside the clubhouse and the starter were friendly.Practice green was in good shape.Layout is good and the fairways and greens are in good shape.
The only bad part of the day was getting stuck behind a foursome who would not let us play through. We caught them on the second hole and were stuck waiting for them to hit their second,third-and sometimes fourth shot before we could tee off.
Absolutely baffles me that a lot of so call golfers have no golf etiquette or even good manners.Repair your divots and ball marks and don’t take your frustrations out on the course.
The bunkers lack a lot of sand but this course is still well worth playing
Dry after rain
Although we had over 8 in of rain was only one hole that was affected at all The greens were still firm and rolled good the courses in the excellent shape considering the rain we got you can't even hardly tell except for the second hole keep up the good work
Challenge accepted
Love coming here to play, just wish they had a ranger to watch pace of play sometimes
Nice course but slow greens.
Course conditions were good overall. The greens were very slow and tough to read. It is not a woman friendly course because there are many elevated greens adding to the distance to the holes.
No starter or Ranger
Pace of play has slowed considerably the last two times playing the course. Tee times spaced 10 minutes apart are too frequent for a public course with a wide level of skill levels on the course. Lack of starter results in twosomes not being paired up, which slows play further. No ranger on course to monitor and help speed up the pace of play leaves faster groups no options other than to wait for slow groups ahead, which results in rounds 5-6 hours long, or skipping holes to avoid rounds longer than five hours.
