Many of tee boxes a little rough, fairways were generally very good, the greens were excellent and probably some of the best greens I’ve seen on any course all year.
Deathly slow!
12:20 tee time turned into 12:35 tee off. Nearly 5 hours later I had only completed 15 holes. Called it a round as sunset neared.
There was no ranger on the course to speed play which would have surely helped. I’ve played this course before during the week with no problem. So I would suggest you not play on the weekend unless you enjoy excruciating slow play.
Brutal pace of play as usual
This course is impossible to enjoy as every time we book it, it is log jammed from 1 thru 18.
.Maddening waiting on every hole.
Sand traps are hard gravel pits, the course though is relatively good. Excellent restaurant.
Norwich 1st Time
Course was really nice and certainly well kept. Proximity to the Casino was excellent but it sure4 increased the price of my golf outing. I will be back for the golf only!
love older courses
great course enjoyed even though my wife & I didn't play well. Very raw so early in the fall season, wet as well but the course did not disappoint us. Hoping to visit sometime again by end of year for winter - fall golf.
The pace of play was extremely slow
Pace of play was so slow we only got 13 of 18 holes and they didn’t offer any vouchers or discount. We paid obviously for 18 holes and started our round at 2:15 it took until 6:20 to get to hole 13 (Ridiculous amount of time) they then came and said we had to return the carts which meant we were done. They should have given us a voucher for a discount the next round at least. Not very happy
5 min tee time intervals on a friday afternoon??
Pace of play was terrible due to a few groups being slipped in on 5 minute tee time intervals. Starter was quite apologetic saying he had no control & it was a decision made by the pro....first time encountering this at Norwich. This course doesn't have a ranger to keep things moving. We stopped after 10 due to pace of play.

Last time I played this course was at least 30 years ago. There have been many improvements made over the years and I was quite pleasantly surprised! Much better than I ever remember.
Norwich Golf Course
Pro Shop and restaurant staff were very friendly. The course was in good shape considering the extensive drought the area has experienced. The beverage cart stopped by several times during the course of play, so thirst was never an issue. The course also has a convenient snack shack accessible from several different holes.
